05/09/2008 Jacques Lemaire still loves coaching. However, he was wrestling with a simple question since about halfway through the season, Is he the right coach for the Wild at the moment in their history? Lemaire was extremely frustrated at times during the 2007/2008 season.
04/26/2008 Marian Gaborik has what the Wild are calling a "hip deficiency" and will require further medical tests before the team determines the treatment. The Wild issued a short statement Thursday saying the injury was "attributable to overuse", after the Slovak Ice Federation said the team would not permit Gaborik to play for Slovakia in the world championships due to the injury.

So Sunday, Simon wondered why they did not receive the same time. 3 months after Simon was suspended an NHL-record 30 games for stepping on Pittsburgh forward Jarkko Ruutu's leg whilst a member of the Islanders, Pronger was given an 8 game suspension for stomping on the leg of Vancouver Canucks center Ryan Kesler.
03/14/2008 Wild coach Jacques Lemaire asked for a much more physical Chris Simon, which is interesting because physicality was never an issue during Simon's 15 year NHL career. However, Lemaire sensed tentativeness from Simon, perhaps because he was worried "the eyes are on him" due to the infamy he's gained from slashing the Rangers' Ryan Hollweg in the face and stepping on the leg of Pittsburgh's Jarkko Ruutu.
