Coyotes are rebuilding. Those are all high pks.
Oilers need dman desperately.

OEL would fetch a boatload in a trade but I don't know why McTavish would pay that much (3 top 35 picks + Marincin). That's poor asset management.
Besides, If they are picking third this move makes no sense. EDM is building too, if they pick Hanifin I don't see why they would trade all of that for OEL.

OEL is already developed and plays in the NHL. With the right moves, I believe oilers can challenge for playoff spot next year. However, knowing management, they will screw it up somehow.

100% they need a goalie. Who is saying no?
They need a #1 goalie, 2 dman that could play 22 to 25 strong minutes, and a top 2/3 centreman.
