Columbus Blue Jackets traded their captain to the Rangers on Monday along with defenseman Steven Delisle and a conditional third-round selection in the 2013 NHL Draft in exchange for forwards Brandon Dubinsky and Artem Anisimov, defenseman Tim Erixon and the Rangers' first-round selection in the 2013 Draft.
If the Rangers advance to the 2013 Stanley Cup Final, Columbus will retain its third-round pick.

I can't see Arizona doing this for basically two main reasons.
1. they are rebuilding so why trade your best forward prospect and one of your best d prospects. Also the pick is going to be in the top three for them and that will be huge for their rebuild. Both Lupul and Kessel are getting to old to be involved in any type of rebuild.
2. they are a small market team and likely will only want to hit the cap floor during the next coming seasons. Taking on contracts like Phils and Joffreys just doesn't make sense for them from a business point of view.
I think Kessel will get a solid package but I don't think it will be from a team like Arizona

Kessel won't get that. He's proven he is purely one-dimensional, he has a huge contract, and is coming off a down year. Dream on, buddy, max Domi isn't coming to Toronto.

the simple answer is no because arizona is rebuilding. ou can't just go around and pick team's best prospects and put them in a kessel trade, even if its fair team directionis just as big of a factor.

Kessel gets chipped because he doesn't even try on defence. And other forwards may not be Selke nominees but they are a lot more solid defensively than Kessel and don't have the character and conditioning issues. Nash's numbers you showed were as good or better than Kessels and he got less than the what you are saying Kessel and Lupul should get. Your asking McEichel, Domi and Gormely. That would be 3 or Arizonas top prospects, your looking at 2 top line forwards and a top 4 d man for Kessel and a guy that can't play half a season. Even if it made sense for where Arizona was in their cycle, value is not there.
