Malkin will never waive his NTC in my opinion but if he miraculously dose I belive he can fetch something like this.
Pits= Malkin and fleury
Edm= Hall, leon draisaitl and 1st 2015[Hanfin]
This gives Edmonton a leader who can jump and be there franchise player. It also gives them a starter goalie. This gives pits a patental elite deffense man a future 1st/2nd line center and a elite scorer to give Crosby someone whom he can setup.
Edm may add a nice piece like Yak to sweetin the deal.
This trade only happens if they get out early in the playoffs.

If i'm edmonton it makes a ton of sense Malkin could play with Yakupov on his wing which would most likely jump start Yakupovs game and take him to a new level, then you could run Eberle and Nugent hopkins as your second line to create more scoring for edmonton. Fluery would represent a massive upgrade for edmonton in net.
For Pittsburgh it doesn't make much sense to me. Draisaitl is probably going to be an ahl forward next year or a 3rd line center. He needs time to grow into a second line center role. Hall is a nice piece but he get hurt so often it would scare me off of him a bit if i'm pitts. And hanifin could be solid down the road I think with the pick pittsburgh would take either strome or marner they already are loaded with young dman. All considered the package is full of too many prospects Crosby is in his prime which means the whole Pittsburgh team should be in a win now mode.

wow umm, ok, that's wayy too much for malkin. its funny, over the coure of a week we've gone from horrible offers for malkin to gross overpayments. its all an exercise in futility anyways as malkin isn't leaving.

Honestly maybe sounds about what they'd ask for Malkin but no way Edmonton does it. 1 step forward 2 steps back ya know

edm needs to keep building. Their problem is that they have drafted the same player every year.
They need a pillar defenceman in the worst way and an NHL goalie
They should draft hanifin, trade for Lehner, Reimer, Lack/Miller.
Sign some vetren 3rd line checkers.
Also pitsburgh won't do that trade, Pitsburgh has a good core they just don't have supporting cast, also they are hampered by injury.
They need to sign santorelli, franson, and get matta and letang healthy again.
a team with Crosby and malkin always has a chance stuiped to break that up.
