Thornton has made it perfectly clear that he won't be waiving his no trade anytime soon. As for the trade itself it doesn't make much sense. If he was traded the sharks could get a much better package and i'm sure they don't want demers back. Also why would the stars go after Thornton when they have Seguin and just paid a boat load for Spezza. Center is one of position the stars don't need. Seguin, Spezza, and eakin is as solid as any 1,2,3 lineup down the middle in the league.
