a barely second line center in plecanec, a 4/5 d in emelin, scherback who is a pretty high end prospect and a 1st rounder which is going to be very low. so basically a low first, a good prospect and 2 crap pieces? naww haha it doesn't work that way. ,malkin is a top 4/5 center in the league you got to give up a lot more for him then that and montreal doesn't even have the pieces to interest pissburgh anyway, it would be gallagher, galchenyuk +
and I know the habs would love to do that right

Try it with Lars Eller, Michael Bournival, Jacob de la Rose, Darren Dietz and rights of Magnus Nygren (may it is overpaid but if Geno will be moved the buyer have to overpay).
Pens get some good mid-term locked-up prospects to develop, but MTR have to made other moves to seal the deal cap-wise.

Agree with Ovie. Although Pitt would probably want defensive items instead of Patches. Maybe Gal, Beaulieu, 1st rounder and the best D prospect MTL has (I admittedly don't know their depth chart very well). Something like that, at least. They need work on their blueline more than they need help in the front lines, and Gal would be a very reasonable replacement for Malkin on the second line C today and for the future.
