you EDM fans seem to think that Yak has Value. He is crap right now He has not proven he can play in NHL. He is worth a bag of pucks. Yak is worth a 5th round pick right now.

Yakapov alone is worth more than that. No way you get vlasic for that start with Ceci, Lazar + and finally Moulson isn't even worth a 2ND he scored 13 goals last season and carries a 5 million dollar contract

Right now. I would say Drouin is worth more than Yak. Yak in 3 seasons has declined. Drouin is unknown. Has not played in the NHL. EDM fans have to realize if you want value. You have to offer value in return. Yak brings nothing to the table. (at this time)
EDM also has to realize that the whole league knows that they are desperate for a GOALIE AND DEF . You will not be able to make a fair trade. You are going to have to pay a unfair price.

Yak still is a 30 point getter its not a lot but its not nothing, if he goes to a different org. Let's say via trade, the right people could get him to show his true potential

yak was the worst plus minus player in the NHL last season imo he was like -39 eh! lol I don't think he is too trustworthy out there defensively in his own end eh! LOL!

Do you guys not understand what potential means? Ya if he was to not get any better throughout his career he'd be worth a 4th or something. He's got all the skill to be a first liner he just needs to grow as a player

Yak declined under Eakins. EVERYONE declined under Eakins. He came back to life after Nelson took over and had real chemistry with Roy. It's true his progression has been slow but it's hard to excel when your coach treats you like garbage and plays you to your weaknesses rather than your strengths. Yak can still have a stellar career and will likely put up twice as many goals/points next season with a proper coach and a more developed team surrounding him.
