I think the sharks make sense for Kessel a fit for both teams
Tor Kessel Kadri and Nashville 1st
Sj couture San Jose 1st and goldobin.
Reason Kessel and little Joe had chemistry at Olympics you put back together they have cap space get a young center back as well San Jose wants a rebuild on the fly this helps leafs could put Reimer in to if they wanted to sweeten the pot.
Toronto gets a top 10 pick to help with the rebuild a good prospect and a really good young center to start building with I think this is a good trade both sides

Couture is better then kessel already and I'd rather my team rebuild around couture vlasic and hertl if leafs are dumping kessel it won't get what u are asking for at best a good prospect salary dump and a late first

Some one is giving up all the talent in this trade is good can't compare couture and Kessel different players but you take Kessel and put him on San Jose with Thornton or Lil Joe I would bet you get 40 plus goals out of Kessel and maybe near 100 points which is dam good and to get that talent you have to give up young talent. Kessel had what 27 goals last year and that was a awful year for him he is in his prime

I think that you undervalue torontos players.
Kadri for Couture
Nashvilles first for Goldobin
Kessel for the 9th overall
Kadri is of equal value to the leafs as Couture, he is not a piece I can see them parting ways with due to their rebuild.
The 24th overall pick is something that I also don't believe the Leafs would part with, they want to add as many pieces as possible and think they can hit a 'home run' with that selection.
And when considering Lesseps value you really do need to reconsider, over the past 5 years he is within the top 5 in the league for scoring with some pretty elite company, quite the feat if you ask me, definitely worth more than only the ninth.
I understand where you're coming from in this trade, but I would say that this would lean more in favour of the Sharks.

Kessel is better than Couture but has less value because he is RW and not a center and couture is younger also is on a better contract

couture is miles ahead of kadri, its not even in question.
couture is younger and miles ahead of kessel in terms of complete game, he'll never score like kessel though. i'd take couture in a heartbeat straight up.

SJS: Kessel ($1.5 million retained)
TOR: 2015 1st, Tierney or Goldobin, 2016 2nd
