Here is what I would do and I would have no issues. I am a very passionate Flyers fan and love hockey overall. Ok so here is my proposal with a plan. be patient my Flyer Fans as this will be another bad season for us
Flyers trade to B & L Schenn & Vinny (Flyers retain 500k to 1 million)
to Mtl for Alex Galchenyuk 3rd round 16
Flyers trade S Coutier A Mcdonald
To Edmonton for J Eberle 3rd round 16
Sign J Vorachek and next year go all in on Stamkos. everything should line up for it and makes sense for everyone. all rookie dman will be ready to go.

With McDavid, Nuge, Leon, Lander, Letestu and Hendricks can even play center as well, they value Eberle way more than Couterier and Mcdonald, who is wayyy overpaid and also not needed. IF they are trading Eberle it would be for one solid top end ish D man or something, not that little package.

Now we would do a trade involving simmonds a top defense prospect and a pick that could be a start
I think that flyers will regret these if they don't do it before the season!cause galchenyuk value is going to raise up

Man, I am also a die-hard fan. But these deals would not work.
-Galchenyuk is better than B. Schenn so that'd would be a downgrade. Besides B Schenn has potential to fit in a top 6 position
-MTL just signed Petry to a long term, high paying contract and don't need L Schenn and his 3.6M salary taking up cap room
-Lecavalier doesn't seem to have much interest from other teams, not to mention he's grossly overpaid. I like Vinny and want to see him succeed, but until he produces more, the phone's not ringing.
-Trading Couturier would be kinda dumb. EDM is in no hurry to throw away Eberle for a 3rd, possibly a 2nd line C and a DMan who isn't pulling his weight. (AMac's contract is 5M)
-Signing Voracek is something every Flyers fan is waiting for, but going after Stamkos. If he's going anywhere its the Leafs and tbh, I don't see that happening either
This will be a tough season but Hextall is shaping Philly into a contender. Hopefully Hakstol fits well

That's such a dumb question to ask think hard about that! If he isn't resigning in Tampa it's cause he is going home! And I'm a Toronto fan and I'm saying he would be stupid to sign in Toronto! We won't contend for years and unless he is signing strictly for cash then it's not worth it cause we are nowhere near being ready to contend for a cup

The odds of Stamkos leaving Tampa are about as high winning the Rocket Richard Trophy next year. Tampa has an unbelievable core of players right now. Guys like Bishop and Carle would get traded to create cap before Stevie Y let's Stamkos walk to FA.

I believe Stamkos will resign with Tampa. but in this day and age. Players have to right to choose where they play. Ya never know Leafs nation. but pretty sure Yzerman will do all he can to keep him. If not. I want Bergevin to get him . Hahaha. Ya. I know . not a hope in hell.
