New proposal for Shattenkirk to Washington.
Washington gets Shattenkirk.
St. Louis gets Alzner, Connor Carrick and a 1st. Rd pick
Yea so Alzner is also young and can fill a top 4 role. Obviously Shattenkirk is a big upgrade. Carrick is a good defence prospect 2 best behind bowey and the 1st rd pick is good and could also be used for a trading chip for St. Louis as they also want a playoff push

Pretty sure WSH rather adds Burakovsky instead of Carrick.

Not in the sense of they'd rather want to give Burakovsky away, but in the sense of STL would want rather him.

I'd rather throw niskanen in than alzner bc shattenkirk is another offensive type, alzner is a shutdown guy, and ik shattenkirk is extremely good but switching out niskanen for alzner makes this more realistic in my pov, bc a 1st a b+/a- prospect and a top 2/4 dman for a top 2?

Blues are not in cap trouble. Blues have better prospects in their system and better top 4 dmen playing right now. To pry shatty away it would have to be a huge over payment especially for a win now team. Trades only happen when there is a need. In this case there is no need so there for no trade unless you made an offer you can't refuse. Fyi I follow hockey cap and all teams very closely. It's my passion I also play the game. So I understand better than most blues say no
