Hearing the Habs are shopping Lars Eller. The Vancouver Canucks, Washington Capitals and St-Louis Blues are interested in acquiring him. Here are trades that could happen with each team:
Vancouver trades Chris Higgins and a 2nd round pick to MTL for Lars Eller and a 3rd round pick.
Washington Capitals trade Marcus Johansson for Lars Eller, Flynn and a 4th round pick.
St -Louis Blues trade Jori Lehtera for Lars Eller, Sven Andrighetto, Tim Bozon, Zachary Fucale and a 1st round pick.
If we trade to Canucks:
Patches-Chucky-Semin
Desharnais-Pleky-Gallagher
Higgins-McCarron-Kassian
Smith-Pelly-Mitchell-Weise
If we trade to caps:
Patches-Chucky-Semin
Johansson-Pleky-Gallagher
Andrighetto-Desharnais-Kassian
DSP-Mitchell-Weise
If we trade to Blues:

The Lehtera trade is the best overall because the Habs made the trade fair with Eller, a couple of prospects and a 1st round pick. The Habs now have maybe the best Center depth in the league except for the Penguins. The first line with Lehtera is kind of the same in STL. Patches is better than Shwartz and Semin is a Russian like Tarasenko. The Habs now have a great top nine. They can now score more goals!

Holy Overpayment for Lehtera wow. You sure you're not accidentally trading for Backes? Lehtera isn't that great and only had decent numbers because he played Tarasenko and Schwartz.
Capitals trade isn't terrible but Habs add a better pick or prospect IMO
Canucks don't want or need Eller. Fine at C with Sedin, Horvat and Sutter.

1st trade - Possible, but Higgens would play on the 2nd line with Plekanec and DD would centre the 3rd line. Plus McCarron would be in the AHL and De La Rose would play 3rd line LW with DD and Kassian.
2nd trade - Won't happen. Makes the Caps worse blues the team will have to end up putting faith in Burakovsky being able to be a top 6 winger.
3rd trade - Huge Overpayment by Montreal for a guy who has played one season and played that one season with St.Louis' two young rising superstars (Schwartz, Taresanko). Pacioretty may be on the same level as those two, but Semin is not (at least not anymore). Plus St.Louis wouldn't want to break up the STL line as it is their highest scoring line. Last thing I'm pretty sure Lehtara is injured.

Kings lover let's get something straight right now. Though I believe you are correct with saying that this was an over payment (of crap Players) Quantity does not equal quality. Lehtera is a good center and it just so happens that Tarasenko and him click on a whole nether level, (like Hall and Oates did). SO no the blues will not trade him.
There is no way in hell Max Pacioretty is on Vladimir Tarasenko's level. After this season I will bet to say that he isn't even on swartzs level. I Like patches but he is a power forward and not even the best power forward.

pacioretty is no where near taresenkos level???!!! r u crazy. pacioretty IS montreals offense. he has no help up front what so ever. taresenko has people around him like backes stasny shwartz and more, pacioretty doesnt. also lethera is not worth a first.

If you were actually a blues fan you would know that Tarasenko has out grown Lehtera and is now going to play with Backes or Steen or Stastny whoever their 1st line C is. Lehtera is just another Patrick Berglund.

Do you actually watch the games. Do you actually read blues articles. Cause you are dead wrong. They tried putting tarasenko with statsny last year didn't work. They tried every line combination under the sun and the best line which will be the #1 line is swartz, lethera, tarasenko. But since you obviously don't follow the blues I will lay it out for you what Hitchcock has already planned.

Obviously you never played the sport your self. Chemistry is everything in hockey/ YOu could put the best three players on a line together and amout to nothing. But you put the right 2 or 3 on the same line that read each other know where they other one will be at all times and they create magic. Do you know how many times the best team on paper has been beaten by a lesser team. with all the number ones overall you think edm would actually be able to make the playoffs. BUt they can't cause all they have is a team filled with potential and no one with the heart to actually play together as a team. When they traded perron they traded their best player. He had heart the rest of the team is a bunch of individuals.

I did not compare Semin to Tarasenko. I said that they are both Russians and that Lehtera wouldn't need to change his system. Besides Semin at his best is better than Tarasenko. I just that they have good Center depth because Plekanec is on the third Line. Understand? They might have the best no.3 Center in the league if Plekanec is there

You obviously haven't been following the oilers as you would know that the oilers had NO SECOND LINE (untill yak went on a hot streak) OR THIRD. AND NO DEFENSE. It wasnt about hall nuge or the core players in edm(except for shultz the kids got no excuse) It was depth. The fact that our development of later round draft picks has been terrible and have had horrible uppermangement deciasions like hiring eakins. We had no second line center for a few months in to the season proves it. So please stop bringing edm as an example when you know nothing about how many terrible decisions have been made by upper manegment.
