EXPLANATION
St Louis (or Ken Hitchcock) hates Brian Elliott. It's that simple. They (or he) don't think he can get the job done, so I definitely see this as a trade they'd make. Elliott isn't a bad goalie though, with elite stats over the last few years and a couple all-star games under his belt. Calgary's weak spot is in that position, so they'd be happy to bring his in as they enter the realm of contenders. Arizona gets a young goalie back who can be a good enough goalie for them while Visentin finishes developing.

Ramo was Calgarys opening night starter and they are rolling with 3 goalies right now. If they are trading one why on earth would it be the one they chose for opening night and why would it be for another goalie when they have Hiller and Ortio. Jeez, Think a little

Mike SMith is Dog poop who makes way more that ellio. I will list the reasons why this doesntt happen.
1) doesn't makethe blues better in any way
2) The blues do not hate elliot, the goalie position is just a sore spot period.
3)Mike smith has worse stats and higher cap hit.
4) Jake allen though the better talent is still young and hasn't proved himself all the way yet.
5) their is 0 need to make a trade especially to western conf rival

tank smith has bad stats because he's on the worst team in the NHL
back when they were a playoff team he carried and was very good
