05/14/2008 Taking 2 more steps to infuse young skill into their club, the Blues signed 2007 1st round draft pick Lars Eller Monday and were close to signing 2005 1st rounder T.J. Oshie. Eller's deal was pending a physical, and even though Oshie had yet to sign a contract, he was in St. Louis ready to take a physical.

03/04/2008 The Blues are in crisis mode. They cannot score goals, cannot triumph games, and the coach is questioning his players' commitment. The grumbling is intensifying over Andy Murray's lots of meetings and other matters. For his part, Murray has publicly questioned the players' effort. This is not a happy group.
02/19/2008 The Red Wings, whose largest require could be on the blue line, had 3 scouts in St. Louis for a game between the Blues and the Kings last week. The last place Kings have 3 defensemen who will be unrestricted free agents in the summer and could be moved, Rob Blake, Brad Stuart and Jaroslav Modry.
