Not even close. Canes value aho as much as leafs value nylander. Now you have leivo, who is having a great week but wasn't on anyone's radar 10 days ago and Dermott for hannifin?

Leafs add, That may get you one or the other. doesn't get both, aho and nylander are comparable I might even give the edge to aho dermott and leivo definatley don't get you hannifin, probably need to add at least a first if not more given this weak draft.

I said they are about equal value and maybe Aho has a bit more because:
1: Producing at a similar level (Nylander slightly better)
2: Aho is younger
3: Aho is more defensively responsible
4: On a team that lacks offensive (Carolina) they will not trade their best young offensive player for anything less than a steal - Carolina values Aho a lot so an overpayment would be necessary to move him whereas Nylander is more expendable
Now you tell me why not.

Which player is better and how a team values that player is two different things. Nylander could be a better player, but being the third best offensive threat 20 years old or younger on the leafs makes him less important to the leafs than aho is to Carolina.
