I would imagine it would have to be a 1st for pageau rather than the 2nd. either that or make the prospect a useful one rather than Benson, a winger in his third season in the minors.

What do you mean because of age? You mean the fact Bear is 22 and Vesalainen is 20? Seriously. He’s 22, not 32. Give me a break. That’s just nitpicking. And what exactly is “a bit more”. Because Bear is already playing NHL and Vesalainen isn’t. So really you are actually already getting “a bit more” because Vesalainen might not be on the team next year again either. So that’s two years of Bear before Ves ever plays nhl. What more do you want?

Due to age? Bear is 2 years older and usually takes defensemen longer to develop. Already an nhler and looks like vesalainen is still at least a couple years away, would be big in favor of jets imo.

Jets would have to add. Defense take longer to develop and Bear has a good trajectory.
Not a big fan of the Pageau one, I think they would get a better offer.

#1 Bear is way more valuable than Vesalenin sub Jones or Samkarov and maybe

#2 Gagner and 2nd only, no Benning or Benson and it's doable.
