Buffalo has been trying to pedal Risto for weeks now. If he was so great they should would want to keep him. He isn't worth Ves.

They had Risto out there in talks before the season started because they have so many NHL caliber D men. Also have had Miller and Bogo out there as well. Few injuries set back any talks. Risto is actually playing decent too, and I hate Buffalo. Bogo now wants out. Might keep Risto.
Risto would look really good in Winnipeg. And next to Rielly in T. O.

Considering Ves is basically a bust then Winnipeg would probably jump on this deal if offered. Too bad Buffalo has more sense than that.

Funny how a top 4 defenseman Joe likes seems to cost half the team and a 1st, but a player Joe doesn’t like can’t even bring in a return of AHL level bust. Weird how that works eh?
