Good trade, much better than some of the other ones on this site that include Kapanen or Johnsson from Toronto. This is the true value of Manson.
He is overated and makes way to much for someone who “plays a big physical game”. His offensive stats are terrible. You don’t pay a player 4.1 million for just defence. You get get a guy like Roman Polak at 1.5 to do that for you.

TOR fans think Bracco is worth a ton, and that throwing in Ceci and a bad pick somehow improve a trade. TOR needs to add a lot more here.

I’m not sure where this insane Bracco value comes from, he’s 22 without a single NHL game under his belt. You’d be lucky to get a 3rd for him in any straight up trade. Ceci has negative value due to his contract, and Toronto will have to give up something if they want to move him.

So, long story short, this isn’t even a trade Anaheim would consider.

I don't know much about Bracco, but is he kinda like Habs Hudon? We thought he was going to be really good, and well. ya know. nope.

Manson also has negative value on his contract as well. As I said before, you don’t pay a guy 4 million dollars to simply play defence. You could get a guy like Roman Polak for 1.5 to do that.

Manson is very overrated, and honestly at this point I think Ceci is the better player. He has improved with the leafs this year. Yes his contract isn’t the greatest but there is no term and therefor no risk. Manson would be a huge risk as he has only had 1 good year in his career and his contract has too much term.

Anaheim would be fools not to get rid of his contract with this trade.
