Muzza 01 you must be a huge Buffalo fan. There is no way the Jets do this ridiculas trade that favors the Sabres. Eichel and the others are perennial losers that would only be a cancer to the rest of the Jets.

Jets would be crazy to even consider this. Take out the first and heinola and it’s still not close. Scheifele is too good to give up, not to mention it’s a sideways trade, jets still would lack #2C and McCabe really isn’t s defence upgrade on what they have.

No thanks from Winnipeg it doesn't fill any team needs for the Jets and the value favours Buffalo way, way too heavily.

Winnipeg definitely says no. The top two players from each side are about even in value, but McCabe is not worth all the rest. So either you think Eichel and Reinhart are so much better than Scheifele and Laine that something of high value needs to be added to balance, or you think that McCabe is an elite defenseman wort three high end prospects.

I think eichel/ reinhart > schieffle/ laine. Not a big difference though.

As for losing culture, I feel it's more from the organization than the players.
