Bro. No from Toronto. McDavid > Matthews but McDavid doesn’t equal Matthews and Rielly. Kerfoot > 3rd.

@ebsolutely I didn’t even think of Rielly’s contract. Who knows if Edmonton would be able to lock him up long term.. if a verbal agreement was in place to sign long-term on an already negotiated deal. Then I’d say yes from Edmonton but still no from Toronto. Not like this trade is realistic anyways.

McDavid won't be traded until Edmonton can no longer afford to keep him. Most likely on a sign and trade when he becomes an RFA or UFA.

Then they'll likely get 2-3 very good players/ prospects and a handful of 1st round picks for him.
