Makes sense, gets a prospect back and relieves part of the Habs' prospect goalie glut. 👍.

Value wise it’s pretty close, honestly just need to see how each team is feeling about their player before moving on.

Good post, although the other concern I have is the inter-division trade. Maybe neither one wants to risk it, I can’t remember the last trade Montreal and Detroit made which is why I’m curious.

Datsyuk, this trade has no risk at all. Both players have little to no value at this point.

Not inter-division this season. Also, I don’t think teams worry about trading within the division as much anymore, especially not with players of this caliber. They want to make a trade that makes sense for them going forward.

A Laine or a similar young star player you may fear will hurt you for years to come. But as a Leaf fan, we have made lots of trades with Florida, Tampa, Ottawa.

I just think Montreal has numerous goalies and during this C.V. season a goalie such as Lindgren will be helpful to a team like Detroit.
I actually believe veteran 3rd string goalies might have a bit more value in this condensed season.
