EDM: Koskinen + Nuge + Bear

CBJ: Merzlikins + Bemstrom

Koskinen is just for one two years, to wait for Vehvilainen/ Tarasov/ Kivlenieks developing. Nuge is center number one that they need, with hope that they resign him and Bear as a TOP4 dman

Edmonton achieve that they need - a solid starter with big potential and middle 6 forward.

I don’t think Nuge is a real number one center but if you don’t have anything else I guess you can do worse lol.

Unless RNH comes with a very team friendly extension, then it’s an easy no for CBJ. With torts coaching there and already benching Laine and Roslovic, why would Nuge commit long term there before ever playing a game? He’s earned the right to hit UFA and go wherever he wants.

Secondly, no one will take koskinen. He would be a $4.5M backup and they would be exposing him to expansion and he would not be picked. Bear would be a nice piece to hopefully be a 2nd pairing guy behind jones and werenski in a cpl years, but still a no from CBJ.

Maybe EDM could retain 1.5M, but all in all, Koskinen just for one year, his contract end after 21/ 22.

I think Edm says no. Nuge and Bear are great players. I think they’re best to trade the Kosk contract with a pick to a team with cap and go after Freddie or another goalie in free agency.

Too much from Edmonton

Nuge won’t be traded unless he won’t resign. This trade doesn’t make the Oilers better IMO and they can get a goalie without trading one of there best players and a good young top 4 D. Also the only real piece beyond this season for Columbus is Bear so I doubt they do it either.

Honestly I think it’s good value both ways RNH way not be a number one but he’s an upgrade over any player currently bear is a solid young d Edmonton gets a number 1 goalie and cap space to go get a replacement for RNH only sticking point would be his contract.
