Toronto receives a solid Two-way Center and a physical Grinder who thrives in the playoffs, Rittich would make a solid backup. Rittich is one of my favourites, he’s been solid but doesn’t get the credit.

A mid round pick might get you Rittich. The Flames might even take Anderson off your hands too if the Leafs retain the difference between Rittich's and Anderson's salary (2.25 mil over a full year) .

Besides that Anderson has negative value, we don't want Kerfoot and would prefer to keep Bennett than trade him anyhow. Liljegren is a left shot LW (one thing the Flames really don't need) who at 26 years old is still playing in Sweden and not exactly tearing it up there.

The first is nice but that's about it.

We'll just keep Backlund and Bennett.

@petz Bennett is an RFA and Rittich is a UFA. Flames aren’t making the playoffs either which is why they’d have no problem retaining on 2 expiring contracts, and I’m a flames fan. Why do you have to come out all toxic against the leafs?

The Retained salary was for 2 expiring contracts, and Andersen was taken back for salary reasons to balance out the cap considering he’s a ufa aswell. Use your brain buddy.
