thinking a second is high.

I’m not sure why a rebuilding team like Anaheim would add an old D, it just doesn’t fit with what a rebuilding team does.

I can’t see them parting with a 2nd either, and certainly not for Muzzin, who is one hit away from permanent LTIR. Concussions are no joke, and his collection is pretty full.

1 hit away from retirement just like Crosby and Eklblad?

Muzzin has had 3 in an 18 month span, including 2 within a one month span. Concussions are no joke, and they’re cumulative.

Toronto would have to give up a second to dump Muzzin's contract.

Why would a rebuilding Team bring in Ryan Strome, Frank Vatrano and John Klingberg!? I don't think they're in the type of rebuild you think there Chicken

As unfortunate as they are, concussions are a part of contact sports. Muzzin had one down year and according to you he should be put out to pasture!?! C'mon man! He says he's recovered and feels good, so hopefully he returns to form next season. He's their Biggest, Most Physical and Best Penalty Killer. There's really no need to pay or dump him like they did Mrazek.

I’d make the argument Muzzin has only had a few good seasons a long time ago. Still a valuable player but probably not a player a team will trade for. 2 more years at over 5.5M at 33 with a fairly serious concussion history.

Up until this past season where he had 2 Concussions, not 3, Muzzin has been producing 0.40-0.55PPG with a Positive +/ - on a Run & Gun Offense First/ Defense Last Style Hockey Team

Other than his Scoring Drought, which I attribute to being out of the lineup so much this season, his play hasn't really diminished. He's still getting the same TOI, Playing Top PK Minutes, Throwing just as many Hits, Blocking just as Many Shots each Game and 33 isn't what I would consider old for a Defensemen, as they peak later than Forwards and Goalies even later

Roman Josi, arguably the Best D-Man in the league, is 32. Brent Burns is 37 and still putting up 26:00 minutes per game. Less than 30% of Defensemen can score 0.40PPG+ and most aren't their Teams Top Penalty Killer as well, Burns being one of the exceptions

Muzzin performed just fine in this years playoffs and is a Stanley Cup Champion. He still brings & has a lot to offer a Team IMO.
