Colorado: Alex Newhook, Sam Girard and 1st 2023

Winnipeg: PLD ( resigned @ 8x 8.5 )

Colorado- PLD will likely sign on a true cup contender and he brings in the player that fills there biggest need.

Winnipeg- moves a player who doesn't want to resign while getting a replacement for 2c who's only 21, a upgrade on the 2nd pairing and 1st.

Note: while Jets fans will probably are gonna come in here and remind me that their left side is stacked and Girard isn't needed A. He is a upgrade on Dillon/Schmitd B. Colorado would need to send back cap and he's the most logical choice C. not a lot of relevant RHD are avaible league wide.

Colorado's cap issues are their cap issues not Winnipeg's. Girard isn't needed and isn't an upgrade on anything Winnipeg currently has as his only value is offensively and Morrissey is better.

There's also little to no chance the Jets trade PLD in division without Colorado paying the in division tax.

Girard isn’t a pure offensive player. Although he isn’t big he is very effective on the rush and is good positionally. Like I said he’d be the Jets 2nd best LHD.

@Memarcus- I’d love to see why you think Schmitd and Dillon are better then Girard?

Dillon is far better defensively, big and physical, which is what the Jets need.

The Jets have Morrissey, Dillon and Samberg on the left side. There's no room or cap space for Girard. Plus the Jets defense is small as it is, they don't need to get smaller.

Girard is too small, not good enough defensively and too expensive. The Jets need to clear some money from their defense and add it elsewhere, not add more cap to the defense.

Newhook and the first are nice, but the Jets may not be sold on Newhook anymore with his struggles this year.

I think more than likely if they move PLD it will be back out east. You'd think Colorado would have to blow the Jets away with an offer for Winnipeg to trade him in division.
