Columbus Trades
Laine*
Jenner*
Toronto Trades
Kampf
Jarnkrok
Holmberg
Niemela (AHL)
Akhtyamov (KHL)(AHL)
1st Round Pick 2026
*Jackets retain 50% of Laine and Jenner's remaining contract.
Kampf and Jarnkrok would also have to waive their NTC to complete the transaction.
Columbus makes the biggest trade in their history with this proposal getting mostly a young forward in Holmberg, 2 good prospects plus a 1st Rounder, Kampf and Jarnkrok have to be part of the package for Cap reasons.
Treliving said he wants to change things up, he went hard in free agency getting Defensive and a Goaltender but has yet to address the forwards, this proposal does that in flying colors.

I dont see anything that makes Columbus want to do this. Also, Laine is not what the Leafs need.

No from CBJ. I don't see why they would do this.

Ain't a chance in hell Columbus is retaining 50% on both of them and only get that back. They'd get better offers from most teams. I'd be all for going after Jenner though. He'd a great 3C for us.
Unrelated to the trade but the biggest trade for them could be acquiring Panarin or dealing Nash. This would be the worst trade in the teams history if they made it.

Wow…all this AND they retain 50%? While paying for the remainder of Kampf’s deal?
The term “homer deal” doesn’t do this justice. Embarrassing is closer, but still doesn’t properly rate what is yet another one-sided deal for your team while ignoring what the other team needs.
CLB hangs up and laughs.

I guess Toronto is out of draft picks to retain salary so maybe over paid 4th liners and some low prospects get the job done?

Add in 2 1sts, and better prospects for retaining 7 million dollars next 2 year, plus taking a couple bad contracts. Torontos got no 1st for 5 years.

Oh ya, chicago trading panarin for saad back was the best trade Columbus have done. This might be the worst unless Columbus is eyeing a guy in the 20-30 range of the 2026 draft.

Columbus makes the biggest trade in their history? In their history pinball?
I know you've only been a part time Blue Jackets fan for 3 days but I have to believe you know the team has been in the NHL for almost 25 years.
Their biggest trade by far was acquiring Sergei Bobrovsky from the Flyers for 2012 2nd and 4th round picks and a 2023 4th round pick.
But going back to your garage sale trade proposal, you yourself offered Kampf and Jarnkrok WITH Robertson to the Sharks for future considerations. You're telling us now 4 weeks later that both those players have so much trade value that they're the center pieces of a Laine & Jenner trade with salary retention?

Future Considerations
Toronto Trades
Kampf
Jarnkrok
Avalanche have the cap space with LTIR in place for next season, and need to solidify the 4th line.
Leafs get the well needed cap space to continue to change the roster that Treliving talked about.

Pinballisback
Soooo within 2 weeks Kampf and Jarnkrok have gone from worth nothing to being worth Laine AND Jenner WITH RETENTION as long as you include 3 AHLers and a late 1st round pick?

PINBALL: stay down champ, this ain’t your night/ year/ sport.
DRW: thanks for putting Pinball’s own words to some kind of use…but I’m pretty sure he still doesn’t get it.
