OTT :
Norris (25% retained)
Sebrango
Forsberg
Perron

LAK :
Clarke
3rd

Then...

OTT :
Guadette
Docker
Highmore
5th

BUF :
Quinn
6th

Ottawa brings in a couple home grown young lads to help push for Playoffs and give the fans something more to cheer for.

Quinn could slide into the 2nd line with Pinto and Giroux while Clarke could compliment Sanderson on the Top pair allowing Zub to drop to bottom pair where he should be with Klevin. Also opens up one of Zub or Jensen to become trade bait themselves when Yakemchuck is ready to join the main roster.

Quantity does not equal quality.

2 pending UFAs and a pending RFA + Norris for $5.96m for 5 more years is not equal value to Brandt Clarke + 3rd rounder.

2 pending UFAs (fringe NHLers at best) and a pending RFA + 5th round pick is not equal value to Jack Quinn (8th overall in 2020) and a 6th round pick.

If Clarke wants out, its gonna cost more then that package i think.

gis1 i strongly disagree. Norris alone is a former 35 goal scorer and very capable of getting there or better again. His only issue is that he's injury proned which is the only reason Ottawa should entertain trading him. Forsberg is an on again off again backup goalie Kings can take a risk on, Perron is not my favorite player but plays the pesky in your face style a lot of gms like to see. And Sebrango is a decent prospect in his own right. Clarke is awesome but so is that package, plus Clarke is from Ottawa and if he wants to come home to play, it's not like Kings won't help make that happen at a reasonable cost like this one.

DrwDave what quantity for quality are you talking about? Decent backup goalie, a middle 6 pesky in your face style forward, a solid prospect, and a proven 35 goal scoring young center who's only downside is injuries and is currently having a solid year for a solid Dman, those kind of trades do happen bud

And Guadette and Quinn aren't separated by much at all in value. Yeah Quinn definitely has an edge obviously, but that's why Docker and Highmore are there to make up the difference. Plus Quinn is from Cobden just outside Ottawa. Teams do help facilitate trades to send players home if the players want that.

@Sensee when they are veterans absolutely they do. They are not going to do it just cause Clarke wants to lol. End of the day it's still a business and LA holds all the leverage in a deal around Clarke. Same can be said about Buffalo in regards to a deal around Quinn.

I really don’t like these for Ottawa. Gaudette is fitting amazing with Stutzle and having a career year for not much AAV. Quinn is unproven and sets us back.

We need a center in Norris much more than another unproven set back in Clarke. The rest I don’t care much about.

I think sens should do a Pageau or similar trade and make their run. They can’t afford backwards movement.

Trading to get pageau would be backwards movement 100%.
