MTL sends : both 2nd round picks 2025 ( Pittsburgh and Montreal) and Sean farrel
To Pittsburgh for malkin 50% retained ( cap hit would be 3 million
Then on draft night that move convinces Crosby to accept trade to mtll
MTL sends : both 2025 1st round, dach, heinemen and Mailloux
To Pittsburgh for Crosby

I am a fan of both Crosby and Malkin, but don't see this as a step for Montreal to make in the rebuild. plus, they are life long Pens. I am not sure they would move.

MTL isn't going to win in the next 3 years with that trade. Corsby and Malkin should stay Pens for life or go to a contender to get their 4th cup.

Really don't think dach is a trade chip, he's been injured more than he's played. More of a cap dump at this point. Send him to Chicago for a 7th round to reunite with his brother that is also injury prone so can play video games together.
