Toronto:

#34
#88

Sabres

#9
2021 1st overall pick.

10shotgun97

1.) 08 Jul 2021 02:35:45
Mathews>Eichel

Nylander>1st overall ( in this draft )

1st overall this year=7th overall last year.

2.) 08 Jul 2021 20:19:36
Of course Nylander would say that lol but Owen Power would be more valuable to toronto, expecially during his first 3 years as a leaf. Would clear space for them to sign Taylor Hall too.

The only ways the Oilers would trade McDavid would be these:

Oilers:
#97

Buffalo:
Jack Eichel
Rasmus Dahlin
2023 1st
2024 1st

Oilers:
#97

Ottawa:
Tim Stutzle
Brady Tkachuk
Jake Sanderson
2023 1st rounder

McDavis has had a historically great season, and is only 24 years old. The only way ANY team would get him is a dramatic overpay.

10shotgun97

1.) 27 May 2021 00:52:04
Buffalo might take that, Ottawa probably wouldn't though. It's all moot though, Edmonton won't be trading him unless it's in 3-4 years and it's become perfectly clear he won't resign with them.

2.) 27 May 2021 01:41:58
@Moxnix agreed. If anything the Rumors should be what big moves Edmonton is planning to get him and Drai help.

3.) 27 May 2021 02:25:02
Buffalo laughs like what does McDavid even do for them. He can’t win in Edmonton so he’s obviously not going to win in Buffalo they’re awful add Mackinnon and Patty Kane on top of McDavid and they probably still don’t make playoffs. Buffalo needs futures not win now pieces. Also Dahlin is the next Lindstrom. No way he’s moved.

4.) 27 May 2021 07:16:52
I agree with Nylander.

5.) 27 May 2021 14:52:05
Rasmus Dahlin isn't bad but he has the worst =/ - on the Sabres. He's not the next Lindstrom.

6.) 27 May 2021 14:57:20
It gives buffalo the best player in the league to build around but McDavid isn’t moving Edmonton is a team that needs to spend wisely this offseason.

7.) 27 May 2021 19:14:06
LOL @NYLANDER, Dahlin's ship has sailed on being the next Nick Lidstrom.

8.) 27 May 2021 20:24:13
How can they build around him? All of there picks go to Edmonton they’d be awful. Dman take longer to develop then forwards +- is a team stat Buffalo sucks and he plays the most that’s why he has low +/ - he was the most hyped dman in history going into the draft. Buffalo needs to get things together.

9.) 27 May 2021 22:24:16
Yes +/ - is a team stat but like I said Dahlin has by far the worst +/ - on his team meaning he's terrible defensively.

"most hyped dman in history" 0.o hyperbole much?

10.) 27 May 2021 23:36:29
Denis potvin is the most hyped dman of all time in his draft year.

11.) 28 May 2021 02:26:22
No Dahlin was touted as the next lindstrom and a generations talent Potvin I don’t think was but I’m also a 01 so I wasn’t there. Many analysts like Eliot Friedman and Pierre McGuire said he is the most hyped dman.

Or maybe he has the worst +- because he’s 20 years old and carry’s the bulk of the defensive work load for the Sabres. Here’s logic for you the longer you’re on the ice the more you’re going to get scored on. Put Hedman in his position and he would do no better.

12.) 28 May 2021 12:37:59
Damn you’re young Nylander. And you got a good hockey sense at such a young age, respect bro.

13.) 28 May 2021 12:46:35
Denis potvin was touted as the next bobby Orr, and for a few seasons when you consider how physical a presence he was combined with being the top offensively talented dman in the league he probably was as good as Orr. injuries slowed him down after that to the point where he was just dominant as compared to super dominant. I know dahlen was hyped but it was also somewhat because he was in a weak draft put him in matthew’s draft for instance and he probably goes 3rd overall. denis potvin would still have went 1st.

14.) 28 May 2021 13:34:36
So second to most hyped dman in history. I’ve never seen potvin play but I heard the islanders with Potvin and Bossy were the Oilers biggest rival.

I also dissagree with the weak draft comment as Svechnikov was also very hyped more so then Dylan Strome and Jesse Pulijujarvi.

I also thinks he goes 1st overall in every draft besides 2015 in the 2010s Mathews was really hyped but Dahlin was way ahead of his years being a 1D in the Swedish league as a 17 year old. What he accomplished at a young age was phenomenal he was playing u18 hockey at 13 years old.

15.) 28 May 2021 13:34:59
@NotACasual thanks brother.

16.) 28 May 2021 16:52:37
Nylander and NotACasual has to be the same person, nobody actually thinks Nylander has a clue when it comes to hockey other then himself.

17.) 28 May 2021 17:27:54
Not at all JAnderson. I’ve been on this site for awhile, my old name was JohnnyGODreau69. We’re not the same person dude, if we were Ed would’ve called us out by now.

18.) 28 May 2021 18:03:58
@JAndersonBPF I'm quite sure they aren't the same person but there seems to be some kind of bromance going on between them lately.

19.) 28 May 2021 20:30:02
Lmfao great joke

20.) 28 May 2021 22:12:29
@Nylander - Dylan Strome, Jesse Puljujarvi and Andrei Svechnikov are all from different drafts. Strome was 3rd in 2015, Puljujarvi was 4th in 2016 and svech was 2nd in 2018.

21.) 28 May 2021 23:40:20
I know they’re from different drafts the comment I was replying to stated the 2018 draft was a weak draft but I argued that Svechnikov ( 2nd overall ) still would go top 5 in the 2 deepest drafts. Maybe I should’ve used other 2nd overall picks as a comparible.

Eichel
Drouin/ Jones ( both were more hyped then Barkov at the time )
Laine
Svechnikov=Byfield
Kappo
Rienhart
Patrick
Murray

Wouldn’t say Svechnikov was a weak 2nd overall opponent in comparison to the others.

Even though Buffalo is Right shot D-Man heavy, this trade can work out for both teams. Both pending UFA's. Buffalo gets some hard hitting action on the back end and Edmonton gets some potential fire power., despite the lack of goals currently.

Edmonton
Adam Larsson

Buffalo:
Taylor Hall 50% retained.

10shotgun97

1.) 26 Mar 2021 03:48:39
Sabres would want way more than that.

2.) 26 Mar 2021 13:29:25
@EdmOil I could see something like what happened with Oladipo happen with Hall. No team willing to trade valuable assets for him, so Buffalo desperately moves him for nothing at deadline.

3.) 26 Mar 2021 15:58:29
Buffalo is going to want team controlled assets back. Larsson is UFA.

02 Mar 2021 22:52:59
Oilers and Blue Jackets

Everyone knows the Oilers need a better Goalie and Jarmo Kekäläinen has stated that he wants a centre.

To the Oilers:
Joonas Korpisalo
Max Domi
2021 1st round pick

To the Blue Jackets:
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
Tyler Benson
Alex Chaisson
2022 2nd round pick

There would have to be salary going both ways to make this work. This seems fair. who adds?

10shotgun97

1.) 03 Mar 2021 03:18:02
Could work, take out the 1st

2.) 03 Mar 2021 13:20:29
Agree with Not a Casual. Unless RNH is coming with a good cap hit extension, CBJ isn’t paying a first on top of a good cheap goalie and domi.

3.) 03 Mar 2021 13:29:58
For the oilers, love this trade
For Columbus it is also pretty good.

4.) 03 Mar 2021 18:26:05
Murray was 2 2nds, Andersen was a late 1st, Grubauer was similar value in his trade I think. I think Korpisalo would be a really good move but I think he could be had without trading Nuge.

Just for a laugh -

Calgary
Matt Tkachuk

Ottawa
Brady Tkachuk

Who wins this? Who adds?

10shotgun97

1.) 18 Feb 2021 21:42:34
Brady>>Mathew imo. Age and potential are in Brady’s favour also got to recognize he also plays on a far worse team and he’s the go to player.

2.) 19 Feb 2021 03:40:28
I'll take Mathew. I think his offensive skills are better than Bradys. its close though, i don't think ya go wrong with either.

3.) 19 Feb 2021 05:12:51
Can’t go wrong with either honestly

4.) 19 Feb 2021 12:26:05
It's a tossup. Brady is bigger and younger, Matthew is more skilled. Both are very good.

5.) 22 Feb 2021 19:51:34
Imagine if Ottawa got tkachuk and Bennett

That’s probably the best trio of skill grind toughness you’ll see in this day and age. Follow up with tierney brown Watson and then after wearing opponents out Stutzle with the Russians score a lot of goals. Now Ottawa is legit

What would it take
2021 1st
Thomas
Batherson
White
JBrown.

Let's do a quick poll; who would you rather take? Straight up, value is the biggest factor but cap isn't a factor. Age is a factor.

Marner
Barkov
Heiskanen
Draisaitl
Point
Aho
Pastrnak
Eichel
Boeser
Barzal
Laine
MacKinnon
Rantanen
?

The list goes on and on. No point in arguing with him anymore haha.

Is that Lucic in your picture?

2.) 30 Aug 2016 19:19:36
Comment on Draisailt_94 post saying you're interested.

3.) 30 Aug 2016 22:38:44
BJ. That's a picture of Lucic at the airport with a young fan the first day he flew to Edmonton after signing. And that's McDavids head photoshopped onto the young fans body. It's awesome.

4.) 31 Aug 2016 01:24:26
@Yup
Lmao I just noticed that now. That's actually a hilarious photo hahaha.
