I don’t think the difference between Drouin and Tkachuk is 2 first round pick and a prospect that was projected to go late first round.

Value is probably pretty close I’d say, Drouin is 4 years older, substantially worse both ways than Tkachuk and doesn’t bring the same grit, but 2 firsts and a second is a pretty good package to take the deal.

Calgary isn't trading Matthew Tkachuk unless they get an "offer that just can't be refused" and this isn't one of those.

I think they consider it but if they rebuild and trade Tkachuk, then why would they want to take back a 27 year old? Why wouldn’t they just keep Tkachuk for the rebuild? Makes no sense from CGY.

EDM: Neal ( cap dump ) + Puljujarvi

MTL: Domi

2 big wingers for Montreal and Edmonton get a really good forward with some speed and grit to play along McDavid or Draisaitl. Also it doesn't hurt neither Edmonton or Montreal because Domi was playing in the 4 line in the playoffs and for Edmonton Neal was also not playing big minutes and ask for a big salary and Puljujarvi was playing overseas. Both team get better and doesn't affect their core..

Thoughts?

Pretty sure Habs wouldn’t need to take a cap dump like Neal to get puljujarvi.

Habs will never but never do that yes Domi play in the 4th line but he did 72 points. Puljujarvi have never proved he can play very well in the nhl. Forgot that man. Also they will not take a big contract. Wtf Domi vs Puljujarvi and Neal with the big contract. Edm will send Puljujarvi and Neal for maybe a 4or5th round because the team will take a very but very big contract.
