OTT: Karlsson, and a 6th
CGY: Michael Stone, Bennett and a 5th

Sens dump a player that has no business in wanting to stay in a struggling market while reuniting the Stone brothers and adding a guy who could improve their top 6 forward group.

Charles Xavier

1.) 02 Dec 2017 03:52:29
Youre flippin high. he's a 2 time norris winner, arguably the best defenceman in the NHL right now and is just going through a slump like his whole team.

2.) 02 Dec 2017 04:28:28
Dude don't waste our time.

3.) 02 Dec 2017 04:30:03
This obviously retaliation for the proposal for Gaudreau.

4.) 02 Dec 2017 04:49:48
Very realistic if Ceci can be traded for Drouin.

5.) 02 Dec 2017 10:23:10
Lol. Good times.

6.) 04 Dec 2017 02:50:24
I think the Sens are tired of playing defensively and the other teams learned how to play against their system after last year's success. KArlsson is either still hurt or simply not interested in playing this anymore. He also wants between 10 and 12 Mil so either he or Boucher will leave. Sens get nothing if Boucher leaves no biggy but can get a lot of good players for Karlsson. Would rather see Karlsson stay instead of Boucher.

01 Dec 2017 18:53:34
OTT: Logan Brown
MTL:Brandon Davidson

A trade that could benefit both teams.

Charles Xavier

1.) 01 Dec 2017 19:04:05
What? Yeah for Montreal. This in no way could ever benefit Ottawa especially when they will need a player like Brown in a couple years. Sens also have depth in Dman. Two prospects Jaros/ Harpur are far better than Davidson and I'm a Davidson fan.

2.) 01 Dec 2017 19:20:30
Lmao. Edmonton traded Davidson for Desharnais. He ain't getting brown.

3.) 01 Dec 2017 20:09:57
Yes yes
Ottawa has to decline tho.

4.) 01 Dec 2017 21:47:03
Davidson would probably pass waivers right now, why don't you try that instead.

5.) 02 Dec 2017 03:03:31
Perfect troll. Because people actually thought you were serious 😂.

6.) 04 Dec 2017 02:59:36
Davidson is deadwood . lol good one . lol.

01 Dec 2017 15:20:55
Ott: Thomas Chabot + a 1st
TOR: Leivo + a 2nd

Toronto takes on an experiment in Chabot who has struggled to make a weak Ottawa blueline while the Sens add a players who instantly improves their top 6 by leaps and bounds.

Charles Xavier

1.) 01 Dec 2017 15:49:32
Huh. well that wasn't very funny.

2.) 01 Dec 2017 15:53:58
hahahahahahahahahaahahahahaha.

3.) 01 Dec 2017 17:31:23
Well that just made my day. Honestly didn't know you were that funny.

4.) 01 Dec 2017 18:14:53
Lou Lamoriello could aleast take Pierre Dorion for dinner before he get fnck him in the ass.

5.) 01 Dec 2017 21:52:32
Ottawa doesn't have a 1st, aaand if the trade was just chabot alone for leivo and a 2nd you would still be waaaay off. same goes for all your other garbage proposals, you should probably just stop posting.

06 Feb 2017 19:54:23
Just saw a rumor that the oilers and lightning are working on a trade involving Boyle and Davidson. Not sure how much truth it actually holds (probably not much to be honest with you) but could be an interesting trade to think about?

Charles Xavier

1.) 06 Feb 2017 20:25:05
Why would the Oilers do that?

2.) 06 Feb 2017 20:33:02
I know Davidson has been getting interest but I didn't know it involved Boyle.
If I'm Oilers I'd do it, he could fill that third line center spot. And also Oilers don't lose Davidson for free. Also Boyle is UFA so no need to protect him and then they can potentially sign him after if he chooses to.

3.) 06 Feb 2017 21:02:22
I think it works boyles 2mil will be off the books next year frees up 600k for tampa. it seems like a plausible depth rental move.

4.) 06 Feb 2017 21:13:37
I've heard the Oilers like Boyle and I've heard that many teams are interested in Davidson. But this is the first I've heard the two together. I like it!
Boyle would be an unreal third line center or LW for the Oilers. And Boyle has been one of my favorite bottom six players for many years now. Hope it happens.

5.) 06 Feb 2017 21:38:16
Almost every playoff team could use a playoff experienced, gritty player who can play either C or W in their bottom six. So i think that will push his prize up and he could land a more significant piece than a D with 1 point in 21 games.

6.) 06 Feb 2017 23:10:37
Good point Hattrick.

7.) 07 Feb 2017 00:30:05
MCJc
Gotta get into the mindset that every team loses something for free. If not Davidson, then someone else goes. Kassian, Letestu maybe? Don't get caught up into liquidating an asset just to per say "get something" out of him before the draft.
Someone's got to go. Unfortunately Davidson's the front runner on the Oilers roster.

8.) 07 Feb 2017 03:41:46
Hundred percent get something instead of losing him for free what are you saying?
Forwards to protect:
Drat
Nuge
Ebs (if not traded)
Maroon
Kassian
Lucic
Pitlick/ Letestu

So that opens up the possibility of pouliot getting taken or
One of letestu or Pitlick or maybe even fayne. In other words, a replaceable player. You man need to get in the mind set of why wouldn't we want to get something for Davidson, especially something of need (which Boyle fills) and then open the chances to lose somebody that is easily replaceable.

9.) 07 Feb 2017 03:42:41
And wow you guys again basing a players value solely on the amount of points he gets? When that's not even his game. Pathetic.

10.) 07 Feb 2017 08:30:37
I never said Davidson is a bad player bc he only has 1 point, i just said Tampa could get a better piece/ package than davidson. Tampa needs an offensive D thei 2nd best D in scoring has 14 pts and their 3rd 6pts, and that's poor. But i see from oilers side it would make sense.

Toronto: JVR

Carolina: Pesce, Roy/ Gauthier/ Kuokkanen

Wasnt sure what prospect to put in since i probably have a biased opinion towards JVR but i felt that all 3 of these guys would be solid prospects to be part of a deal. Maybe add a pick on either side.

Charles Xavier

1.) 17 Jan 2017 22:07:15
Why from Carolina. They aren't close to contending so why trade a young top 4 d man and good prospects for a top 6 winger in his prime. Personally I don't even think JVR is worth that much

2.) 17 Jan 2017 22:16:26
I think JVR is okay. Just not sure if he is top 6. He seems to be a god scorer but lacks the intensity I would want, especially if I was giving up young prospects.

3.) 17 Jan 2017 22:29:23
Easy no from Carolina, even though they need offense, Pesce has actually been playing like their 2nd best defenseman this year behind Slavin

4.) 17 Jan 2017 22:33:29
Carolina is not far at all from contending as there is a very good possibilty they make the playoffs this year. And JVR is most definitely a top 6 forward.

5.) 17 Jan 2017 22:39:14
Carolina is only 1 point out of a wild card spot and JVR is curently on pace for 70 points this year and would significantly improve any teams top 6. I just saw it as a trade that would fill holes on each organisations roster.

6.) 17 Jan 2017 22:54:55
lol balsam8, yeah, JVR definitely isn't a top 6 forward. Just an overpaid 13th forward on pace for 70 points because he's playing with the great Bozak.

Please stop being ridiculous.

7.) 17 Jan 2017 23:13:37
just a question, since when did Pesce become this good? And no its not sarcasm, I've just never followed the canes. Is he really playing out of his mind?

8.) 17 Jan 2017 23:53:32
Lol he's okay but he's not their second best defensemen behind Slavin. It's Faulk, Hannifin, Slavin then him. But yea he's playing good just needs to make more simpler plays he tends to make some turnovers but it's part of his development. Hell probably a decent top 4 but not more then that.

9.) 18 Jan 2017 00:00:54
@TSS he's posting very good possession #'s and is on pace for roughly 20 points. Not a superstar but would fill a hole on the leafs roster.

10.) 18 Jan 2017 03:19:52
Leafs add a 1st

11.) 18 Jan 2017 05:15:02
@McHabs. Nah go on another forum and ask any Canes fan. Slavin is equal to Faulk for them if not more valueable. One actually plays in more then 60 games a year. Slavin is still hugely underrated for how good he is. He's like a young M. E Vlasic with more offensive upside.

12.) 18 Jan 2017 11:34:47
@CX

Ah thanks man. With all the young dman on carolina, i never thought about pesce haha. then they also have like fleury and bean coming up. Gheez.

So if there were to be another world cup this fall (i understand there won't be) what would your roster for team North America look like?
This would be mine.

Matthews McDavid Guentzel
Domi Eichel Marner
Drouin Monahan MacKinnon
Tkachuk Horvat Reinhart
Galchenyuk

Werenski Jones
Slavin Ekblad
Rielly Parayko
Gostibehere

Murray
Jarry
Stolarz.

Charles Xavier

1.) 12 Jul 2017 01:13:09
Maybe switch horvat with Larkin ( speed is more important at the international level and Larkin is up there with McDavid in that Catagory. ) I'd also switch Mackinnon and Guzetzal. Mackinnon is an amazing skater and a better player. Imo him and McDavid is a dream.

2.) 19 Jul 2017 21:13:30
Parayko and ghostisbhere are too old to play on the 23 and under for sure. A cpl others might be but not sure (Monahan and galchenyuk)

18 Jun 2017 19:45:47
So how many 1st round picks does Vegas end up with?
It sounds like they have already acquired ones from Anaheim, NYI and Columbus already.

Charles Xavier

1.) 19 Jun 2017 09:09:32
Forget which TSN guy said it but he thinks Vegas already had a deal with 9 teams. Still lots of time yet.

2.) 19 Jun 2017 12:39:29
Just this year or no? doesn't Anaheims 1st go to Dallas for Eaves?

3.) 19 Jun 2017 15:03:48
It seems te deal w Anaheim involves their 2nd this year and prospect Sam Steel to not draft either Vatanen or Manson.

4.) 20 Jun 2017 02:27:32
Thats a hell of a deal for Vegas. Steel is great.

5.) 21 Jun 2017 01:13:46
From what I've read they've got their own and 2 or 3 others. Who knows tho, this sounds like a draft where no team is all that concerned about keeping their 1st round pick. I wonder if Vegas packages a couple picks+ and makes an offer to Philly.

6.) 21 Jun 2017 01:39:50
Maybe Chicago and Nashvilles aswell, imma say 6 including their own 1st.

Caps 5/ 6 (if Toronto shows up and battles then 6)
Pens 7 (Jackets are a dog of a team. Not the most skilled, but heavy and will push pens)
Rangers 7 (i like rangers chances, they're better than their second half of the season)
Senators 7 (i like Sens more than Bruins here. Defense is better, forwards are even, if Anderson plays well)

Hawks 6
Wild 6
Oilers 7
Ducks 6.

04 Apr 2017 18:19:54
With the NHL season dwindling down to its last week here are my picks for the major awards winners and nominees.

Hart: 1) McDavid 2) Burns 3) Marchand

Ted Lindsay: 1) McDavid 2) Crosby 3) Bobrovsky

Selke: 1) Bergeron 2) Koivu 3) Backlund HM) RNH

Calder: 1) Matthews 2) Laine 3) Werenski

Norris: 1) Burns 2) Karlsson 3) Hedman

Vezina: 1) Bobrovsky 2) Holtby 3) Price

What would yours look like?

Charles Xavier

1.) 04 Apr 2017 19:06:15
Yours looks good, however i'd maybe replace both Marchand and Burns for the Hart. with Crosby and Bobrovsky. if this was 4 weeks ago, i'd be saying Burns was the Winner. but he has somewhat slumped past few weeks.

2.) 04 Apr 2017 19:55:17
I agree with your picks Charles. Just curious. Who do you guys think wins coach and Gm of the year? Lots of good candidates for coaches this year, looking at your Torts.

3.) 04 Apr 2017 20:25:59
Torts wins Adams. Gulutzan has done a good job turning things around in Calgary and Boucher had managed to get a lot from his players, even with his top goalie having way more important issues to deal with. as far as GM, I like what Treliving has done in Calgary. Yzerman also always makes really smart moves. not sure if he's out cause team probably doesn't make playoffs .

4.) 04 Apr 2017 21:40:41
Not sure if Price should be nominated this year. he had a pretty bad stretch there in the middle.

5.) 04 Apr 2017 21:47:42
Id say a toss up between Price and Dubnyk, although he won't win, Talbot could recieve some 3rd place votes as well.

6.) 05 Apr 2017 01:04:28
That, but Laine.

7.) 05 Apr 2017 04:20:24
I think Talbot will finish off this last 4 games strong. Break Grant Fehrs record tonight. Only like 1 or 2 loses on last like 12 games of the season. He could get a nomination I think. And Hope. I like the guy not going to lie.
Bobvrosky is my pick. Holbty close there. Talbot 3 and
Price and Dubnyk tied for 4th equally this season.
I'm being a homer maybe 😜😜. Lol.

8.) 05 Apr 2017 13:31:57
Ahaha. Well the Kings sure showed up in the second period last night. I'll eat some of my words there. Lol

Side note: It must be so hard for some players to show up for games when you're on a team that is out of playoff contention. And, It must be so hard to play against said teams at the end of the season.

9.) 06 Apr 2017 02:03:41
ha Ryan O'Reilly just came out and said today that he is pissed with all the losing this year, and that he's pissed a team like the Leafs are in a spot he thinks the Sabres should be in right now. Losing and playing these meaningless games takes all the fun out of it he says, why even practice anymore? lol
I commented on something and said he shouldn't have taken way more than he's worth and maybe buffalo would spend more on some D and an actual starting goalie Lol.

10.) 09 Apr 2017 15:28:56
some TB bias here, but Hedman should win the Norris.

14 Mar 2017 16:18:01
If you were in a keepers fantasy hockey league and had the option of protecting only 1 of Carey Price, Sergei Bobrovsky and John Gibson which one would you protect?

Charles Xavier

1.) 14 Mar 2017 21:32:01
Price he's a sure thing and he will be for a long time.

2.) 14 Mar 2017 23:08:07
i waould say its between price and Gibson. Bobrosky really had some dumpy years/ Price gets hurt a lot but is the best of the three. Gibson is young solid performer.

3.) 15 Mar 2017 02:53:45
I don't think there is really a wrong choice, I'd go with Price tho.

4.) 15 Mar 2017 15:56:42
Price
Gibson
Bob

in that order.

@triplets Toronto has won like 7 out of there past 8 meetings or something like that so i wouldn't be so sure that Toronto wouldn't be able to beat Boston in a playoff series.

No but it does look bad when an undersized middling 2nd line winger is sandwiched inbetween players like MacKinnon, Barkov, Jones, Monahan and even Lindholm to an extent.

Jonathan Drouin last 30 games
GP G A PTS
30 5 10 15
Maybe we should talk about how unproductive Drouin has been been the last 30 games despite playing over 17 minutes per game and well over 3 minutes per game on the powerplay?
