How can this be a trade that would improve the Coyotes? All the players the Leafs are trading are either over the hill, injury prone, overpaid, under achieving ones that have very little value for 2 young, very good players that are signed long term at reasonable contracts.

Reading what you posted you described one player in the proposal from The Leafs, that would be Muzzin and even saying that He is still a good Defenceman as long as he stays healthy.
The other 3 players don't fit over the hill, injury prone, over paid and under achieving at all.
Now if Sandin is exchanged in this proposal I actually could see Arizona being interested, but the Muzzin contract is still a problem unless he truly is done and can be put on LTIR imo.

I am not sure why at all Arizona would consider this trade? a team that is in a complete re build and other then neimela really nothing there that helps a rebuilding team that 4 years away! not to mention chychrun reported asking price alone was atleast 2 first or a first and a top prospect this is not even close and arizona is eating 3 million. not even close.

Mrazek, Duszak, and Holl to Minny for Dumba.
Minny trades a guy they can't resign for cheaper replacement, a decent prospect, and a backup tender. This has positive cap ramifications for both teams.

I dunno. I’ve seen a lot of 3rd/ 4th line C Sean Monahan making almost $6.5M in trades that still value him as the guy he was 3 years ago. I think it’s pretty similar in all fan bases and on here.

Nobody is valuing Monahan anything like the player he used to be. He's been a throw in to make cap work in some case as a cap dump with a sweetener added to help convince the other team to take him.

That’s definitely valuing him like the player he used to be. MS is a legit #1C making less money than Monahan. In no universe is Monahan the big piece going back in a Scheifele deal
It’s not an attack, it’s an observation that every fan base overvalues their players on forums like this. That’s what happens when you’re putting together hypothetical trades to try to improve your team. Rarely does anyone give MORE than it would take to get the deal done. They always try to make a deal while giving up the least assets to keep their best pieces while adding a good one.

I wouldn't want Scheifele at all but he is worth more than that. Not a whole lot more and not nearly as much more as Winnipeg fans like to think but still more.

You just did again what you’re accusing others of doing. You’re telling me that Jets fans overvalue Scheifele, as a response to me pointing out that Flames fans overvalued Monahan, in response to you pointing out that Leaf fans overvalue their players haha
You’re making my exact point. Every fan base does it. You just choose to be blind to it when it’s fans of your favourite team, like most others do with their respective teams.
If you stand back and try to see it from an objective viewpoint, it’s not hard to see. Call out all fans for doing it, or none. Consistency is key.

I value Monahan as being worth about a second round pick right now but even then his cap hit makes him very difficult to move.
I called you out for claiming a deal was proposed last week offering Monahan and a pick/ prospect for Scheifele when in fact the proposal was far more than that. It was for Monahan, a good prospect, a first round pick and a second round pick. I even agreed that offer was on the low side but it's still more than double what you claimed.
