Tor: Mitch Marner & Trevor Moore
CGY: Tkachuk & Bennett
Toronto is strong on the right side all through the organization while Calgary is the opposite. Balances both teams out.

I think if Calgary wanted Marner they would want him to play with him on the first line. But Bennett plus for Marner I would do.

I would play him on the 2nd line as Mitch is one of the few wingers in the game that can drive a line by himself. This gives Calgary great depth. No way would they move him for Bennett plus.

Sam Bennett is an elite chance generator. Yes, elite. He's essentially been glued to the 3rd line yet has recorded more 5v5 chances than David Pastrnak, Leon Draisaitl, Blake Wheeler, Patrik Laine, and Jack Eichel over the last two seasons. He just needs to learn to finish. Tkachuk is at least even to marner, so bennet for some no name is ridiculous.

Tkachuk had like 30 less points then Marner, is terrible defensively to him and takes the most stupid penalty’s in the game. Essentially does the same thing Kadri did but more points.

What's your measure for saying Tkachuk is bad defensively? Because I don't think he is. He also brings a physical element Marner doesn't have.

I think Mantha is overhyping it a bit, but it is Tkachuk>Marner. The uncomfortable subject in the room that Leafs fans don’t want to accept is that Marner is fairly overhyped. He was a perennial 60 pt player until Tavares came, and while I don’t think he would drop back down to 60 if Tavares left, he wouldn’t be a 90 pt player without him, not even close.
Marner by himself is a 75-80 pt guy max, that’s it. And don’t get me wrong, that is still really good. But Marner couldn’t drag himself to 90 or 100 pts by himself no matter how much leafs fans want to deny it.
And when you look at the fact that Tkachuk is coming off a 77 pt year, that he has such a complete game and can bring that big physical element and get under other players skin.
For me, and for a lot of non Toronto fans, it’s pretty easy to see that Tkachuk would be the better choice if you could pick one of the two for your team.

I would take Tkachuk as well Vertius. Mantha is always exaggerating. I don’t understand why people keep bringing up Tavares. Marner is a top line winger, if Tavares was not there it would be Matthews. Just like any other team, players compliment each other.

Tkachuk plays with backlund and frolik. wow, such elite point guys, gimme a break. And vbb, those were facts, not opinions. You can look it up. As a 3rd line guy generates more opportunities than all those guys. I don't just spew a stupid opinion but state facts. Try it sometime. And the 4 disagrees, check facts, you're dumb disagreeing with facts.

And why all the marner is great defensively? he's +21 in 3 years, tkachuk is +27 and plays against other teams top lines. Marner plays with 1st line against teams checking lines, it really makes no sense. Tkachuk is clearly better. Marner got 94 point playing with a premier center, tkachuk got 77 playing with backlund. It shouldn't even be a discussion who's the better all around player. Tkachuk would have naps during games and get 94 points with Tavares. And actually throw hits which will be honestly surprised if he had more then 10 in three years, and that's being generous.

Okay, Toews, Bergeron, nearly +200, Stamkos +30 Tavares-23. Patrick kane+61 and has tons more points than toews. living in reality triplets.

Im not even trying to be biased at all but i'd much rather have Tkachuk honestly. Marner is good tho don't get me wrong but put Tkachuk beside Tavares and youd see the same results as Marner. Tkachuk will be the Flames future captain, such a good all around player and sticks up for people

I love how a lot of people say he isn't fit to be captain and maybe he is a little too young for the role. Let's be honest though, is it really a big deal? The PM of Canada has donned blackface so many times he's lost count! The question should be is he fit to lead a G7 nation? :)
