Canucks trade: 2022 3rd
Minnesota trades: Matt Dumba
Minnesota is going to have protection issues for expansion, plus rumour is they want to get younger on the back end. They get a draft pick for a player they could possibly lose in expansion. The Canucks have long been rumoured to be interested in Dumba. There might be a B or C prospect the Canucks could throw in. But this trade works for both teams. Wild shed salary and get something for a player they could lose, Canucks get a much need RHD, to play along side Hughes or Schmidt. Canucks will need to do some things to fit in the salary but would help improve their defence.

Key word there is could. They may want to get younger, but it won't be at that price for Dumba. He's been a pretty steady dman for them so I can't imagine they are going to deal him unless it fills a need and a 3rd round pick and a B or C prospect doesn't do that in anyway shape or form.

Virtanen has ZERO trade value. Batherson is a top prospect. A 3rd doesn't move the needle either.
If a team is dumping salary, they'll take a low pick. But teams don't typically trade prospects like Batherson. and ESPECIALLY NOT when it's an up and coming team like the Sens.

Virtanen has zero value? He’s improved every season and he was on a 40+ point pace and a 20+ goal season. Batherson isn’t a top prospect either. Definitely has some good potential and has put up good numbers in the AHL. What a 40-50 point potential in the NHL?

Ebsolutely. Lol batherson worth more than Virtanen by far. He's a Stone.2. has potential to be a 60+ pts nhler. You want sens to take on that contract your adding a first round pick for batherson even then the sens say no. He's going to be a top line RW when dadonov leaves. your delusional.

Buffalo: Colin Miller or Brandon Montour
Vancouver: Virtanen
Buffalo gets a decent young player to fill a roster spot, as they have many UFA’s and RFA’s this year.
Vancouver gets a good RD to replace Tanev, because they won’t and shouldn’t sign him to a new contract.
