Habs: Kopitar

Kings: Habs 2021 first round pick and K. K.

1.) 13 Apr 2021 19:59:28
I wouldn’t even trade Kk straight up. And the deadline is done so why post?

2.) 14 Apr 2021 06:40:51
If ya don't like his proposal., why comment?
Due to age, i'd not want to do see KK go for Kopitar. at, 20 I think KK is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential.

3.) 14 Apr 2021 12:39:28
Uhh maybe if you payed attention to hockey you’d know you can make a trade apast the deadline players you acquire just aren’t eligible to play until next year.

4.) 14 Apr 2021 13:23:20
Nylander, I know that but if Montreal did this trade it would be to go all in this year. Why trade a young player like KK and a first round pick for a guy who will be 35 years old by the time you can use him? Maybe you should pay more attention to hockey.

5.) 15 Apr 2021 03:26:51
Never said it’s a good trade just said you were wrong.

6.) 15 Apr 2021 06:26:01
I think the trade makes no sense for habs. But if you can take out k. k. and just use picks mid prospects, Kopitar helping K. K. and Suzuki would potentially be a great mentor to help them become top centres.

However, Kopitar shouldn't be brought in for much, as he's expensive and older.

7.) 15 Apr 2021 23:43:27

You are almost right.
A player can still be traded and play, after the TDL, they just can't play in the post-season.

13 Apr 2021 12:39:14
Habs window to win a Cup with Weber and Price is narrowing rapidly. GM must acquire a no.1 center this summer.

Habs: Eichel

Sabres: Suzuki, Romanov, and 2021 first round pick.

1.) 13 Apr 2021 14:31:14
Or we can always hope after price gets another 11 mil in signing bonus this summer some team would be willing to take him or he would be willing to mutually agree to terminate the contract and sign another one with Seattle to be closer to home,

2.) 13 Apr 2021 17:02:40
It would probably take Suzuki, Romanov, Caufield and 1st to get the deal done. Which is totally not worth it at all from Habs

3.) 13 Apr 2021 20:00:36
Habby2, I knew you weren’t a real Habs fan. Any legit habs fan know that Carey is still the man.

4.) 14 Apr 2021 06:20:01
Yeah ok. If that’s what qualifies as a real Habs fan these days then I guess your right. I could think of better ways to spend 10.5 in cap space then to give it to a beat up shell of his former self player though. But maybe that’s just me.

5.) 14 Apr 2021 08:44:52
I've always been a huge Price supporter, , but even i know he's not worth the money he gets now, and like Habby said, is a beat up shell if his former self . i'd hate to see him go, but this just isn't working, and Weber has looked tired lately.,

I still want to believe that he can be the " man" and lead the Habs to the cup, but his days of being the most dominant goalie in the game are a few years removed now. As Habs fans, let's just hope he has one or 2 playoff length Supernatural runs. plays the way he did a few years ago.

6.) 14 Apr 2021 15:34:23
When Price had his focus he is still the best goalie in the NHL. I agree he needs to find it back tho. When he does Montreal will be in good shape.

7.) 14 Apr 2021 17:38:57
Yep and when he starts playing like a top goalie he gets injured so what’s the point . cut the cord I say. they have let every other quality goaltender they have had in the past 30 years leave for less.

8.) 14 Apr 2021 20:39:25
Montreal has a really good team and have a great backup for when Price is not performing or injured.

9.) 15 Apr 2021 20:30:19
Ok so the team and the back up can carry him? Why keep him around?

12 Apr 2021 15:37:30
Habs: Kopitar

Kings: Danault, Habs 2021 first round pick, and Armia.

12 Apr 2021 15:34:14
Habs: Iafallo

Kings: Byron plus 2021 3rd round pick.

11 Apr 2021 20:59:45
Habs: Landeskog and Girard

Avs: Romanov, Price. and Drouin.

1.) 11 Apr 2021 21:18:17
Not a chance from Colorado. Girard is a top2 dman and is good offensively, defensively and in transition. Romanov has potential to be that good, but there's no guarantee that he’ll ever be what Girard is right. Girard’s super underrated, but it’d take a significant overpay to pry him from COL imo.

2.) 11 Apr 2021 22:27:56
Colorado is a buyer not a seller. No way they give up two of their top guys - one of whom is their captain and the other who is a great two way mean.

I wonder what happens with Price tho because i doubt any team pays for his horrible contract. Do you think Montreal protects him or Allen in the expansion draft?

3.) 13 Apr 2021 14:22:23
Habs have to protect price unless he waives his NMC.

It was fun formulating all kinds of different trades recently. See you all in June a week before the draft. Lol.

19 Feb 2020 02:34:39
Habs are pathetic. Must fire GM, coach, and trade Price, Weber, Drouin, Petry, Domi, Kovy, Thompson, Byron, Mete, Weal, and Kulak.

10 Dec 2019 15:20:14
Let's all do the following exercise and compile a list of the top 10 most untouchable players in the NHL right now. Players who would demand an arm, leg, and head from other teams in a trade. Let's see...

P. Kane
Austin Matthews

Can we all agree on this list? Perhaps we can argue to include Bergeron, Eichel, Dahlin, Marner, Tavares, Josi, E. Peterson,

1.) 10 Dec 2019 22:15:25
I think some of those guys are too old to be on a most untouchable top 10 list. Eichel and Dahlin are more untouchable than anyone except for a few on that list.

2.) 11 Dec 2019 03:58:15
I agree ebbs Peterson is more untouchable then most on the list too imo.

3.) 11 Dec 2019 04:55:35
Pasternak is more untouchable than most those guys. His contract makes him more valuable than most those guys.
McKinnon, Pasta, Marchand, Makar, Drai. Are more valuable because of their current contracts.
I would have Eichel at $1.4M less than Matthews on that list before Matthews not going to lie.

4.) 11 Dec 2019 06:22:49
I think stars under 28? Somewhere around there are untouchable. the ones over that age on this list, I can't see be moved. However, ya never know
If Wayne Gretzky can be traded. twice. anyone can.

5.) 11 Dec 2019 14:53:37
I don’t think Drais is untouchable because of McDavid I feel if Columbus offered up Dubouis and Jones Edmonton would move drais. Tavares shouldn’t be untouchable.

6.) 11 Dec 2019 15:49:21
Dubois and Jones can get almost anyone in the league VB so not a great point.

I would covet Montour by not Hall. Hall has been grossly underperforming during the last 2 seasons.

Saad is on pace for 30 goals over an 82 game season. He's only 28 years old. Habs need another forward who can score at least 25 goals a season. Saad would fill this need nicely.

In reference to Sosahabs24 post, Habs need Malkin because he would become their desperately needed NO. 1 Center who is capable of averaging between 80-90 pts per season over the next 4 seasons. Malkin would provide the Habs with size, scoring threat and offensive prowess down the middle. He has won 3 cups already. He is still a top 10 NHL player, a 3-time champion, and a leader on the ice. That's why.

I think Jets would do this trade. Seriously.
