Pageau is def worth a 1st + as a rental with the way he’s playing and I doubt the Sens are interested in trading Brannstrom. Domi doesn’t get those two players right now.

As you may all know from my criticism of the stone deal where the main pice was brannstrom I didn't really like him then and I still don't if I'm Gm I don't even consider this from a habs perspective. Especially not with pageau as an upcoming ufa.

Ottawa is rebuilding and Domi is older than the younger core they want to have assembled in 2-3 years time. By then he will be even older and starting to peak and looking at the back end of his prime while the Ottawa team will be just entering theirs.

Primeau won’t get past Price. Price is signed for a very long time. Which means Primeau is likely to be traded. Goalies don’t tend to bring anywhere near what you suggest. Even starting goalies that are established wouldn’t get you that package.
