Official trade

Devils acquire:
Vatanen
Conditional pick

Ducks acquire:
Henrique
Blandisi
3rd round pick

Thoughts?

thehabsguy

1.) 30 Nov 2017 15:52:50
very believable.

2.) 30 Nov 2017 16:09:41
Illogical for Anaheim.

3.) 30 Nov 2017 17:42:31
Good move for both. Both teams fill needs while dealing from strength. Ducks still have Fowler, Lindholm, montour, Manson as a real good young top 4. Get a good top 6 forward to level out the top two lines. And then devils get a much needed Dman on a steal of a contract. Drafting hischier and the emergence of a few young forwards like Bratt, Gibbons and Wood makes it easier to move Henrique.

4.) 30 Nov 2017 21:13:16
Anaheim should defenetly have traded RNH for Vatanen instead of Henrique.

5.) 30 Nov 2017 22:44:13
Rnh worth more than vatanen or henrque lol rnh can put up 55 65 point season lol and his only 24.

6.) 01 Dec 2017 06:22:05
I like how people say it unbelievable but It happens lol.

Big fan of Connor Hellebuyck, love the way he's been playing lately, and I believe that makes Steve Mason expandable. Here's what I think since Arizona is going through tough times in goal.

Winnipeg acquires: 3rd round pick 2018, 6th round pick 2019.

Arizona acquires: Steve Mason (25% retained)

Why?
Arizona has a goaltender who will compete with Raanta for the starting role and Winnipeg gets an early 3rd round pick (basically a 2nd) and a 6th rounder in the following draft. Winnipeg letting go of Mason should give Comrie a chance to settle in the backup role and Hellebuyck a chance to really be the #1 goalie.

Thoughts?

1.) 28 Nov 2017 14:33:17
I wouldn't do it as a Jets fan. We want to keep Comrie in the AHL playing more minutes as long as we can. There's just no real reason to do this when the team is playing well.

2.) 28 Nov 2017 15:00:15
Thehabsguy, maybe a good destination for hutchinson tho? Winnipegs 3rd string atm, keep comrie developing on stand by in the a. just my view.

3.) 28 Nov 2017 15:17:59
They signed mason to a two year deal because when it runs out Comrie will no longer be waiver exempt that's when he'll get a chance unless he plays absolutely spectacularly in his recent call up.

Islanders acquire:
Duchene

AVS acquire:
De Haan
Beauvilier

Not official yet but might happen. Leave thoughts

Would have to include barzal not beau.

2.) 04 Nov 2017 06:12:30
It wouldn’t include Barzal IMO. Maybe a pick though.

3.) 04 Nov 2017 19:47:29
Hahahaha “but could happen”.

Wild thought but

Tampa Bay acquires:
-D Sedin
-H Sedin

Vancouver acquires:
-1st round pick 2018
-Callan Foote

Lightning get solid scorers to help with a possible cup run. Canucks ship off the Sedin's to the Eastern Conference and acquire a late 1st as well as a top 4/6 D prospect for their future since their D core is looking pretty bad.

Theres a small thing called salary cap.

2.) 16 Aug 2017 06:28:28
1. No thanks
2. Cap.

3.) 16 Aug 2017 13:42:20
Over pay because they're falling off and only going to get worse. They were great players, but that's behind them. Also I'm you're sending $850k (if foote even signed his ELC, not sure he did) and taking on near $15 mill I believe on a team that is already making side deals like garrison with vegas ans filpula at last deadline to shed salary.

4.) 16 Aug 2017 15:47:05
Yeah that makes sense. I didn't really think about the salary cap.

Ottawa Acquires:
-Mark Methot

Dallas Acquires:
-Dion Phaneuf
-2nd round pick 2019

The Senators are actively looking to regain Mark Methot. The stars paid a 2nd to get him so would obviously like a 2nd back and Dion Phaneuf can "replace" Methot on their roster.

thehabsguy

1.) 30 Jun 2017 20:01:00
Dallas won't do it.

2.) 01 Jul 2017 04:53:27
Dallas is adding 2 extra years and over 2 million per season on a Dman on the wrong side of 30. They're happy with the price they paid for methot i'm sure and makes them a lot better team for those cpl years while benn and seguin are on their current deals.

3.) 01 Jul 2017 05:33:20
If I'm Dallas then Methot is more important then Phaneuf. So no from Stars.

All Montreal fans saying they should trade Galchenyuk right now are absolutely crazy.

First of all, his value is as low as it's ever been and he could very possibly have a bounceback year and be worth much more than the return the Habs could get.

Second, Montreal NEEDS scoring and Galchenyuk proved in 2015-16 that he can do that when he scored 30 goals. Trading him would just make the Habs offence even worse.

Third, Montreal is looking for a 1st line center desperately and Galchenyuk could be that with a little development. Trading him would create an even bigger hole down the middle.

I believe Montreal would be much better off KEEPING Galchenyuk for at least the 2017-18 season if not forever. He has in my opinion much more potential than his value shows and should be a very important piece in the Canadiens' franchise.

thehabsguy

1.) 10 Jul 2017 05:23:03
I've been against trading him from day 1. I'm not even sure if bergevin had any real desire to trade him. he may have listened to offers but unless he got offered something that blew his socks off I don't think he was going to move him. i agree with everything else you said too.

2.) 10 Jul 2017 13:05:49
The reason people want to trade him is to fill that 1C hole and part of the problem is Habs management doesn't view him as a center or at least doest think hell ever be a 1C. Not saying he won't or can't be but its clear Montreal doesn't think so.

3.) 10 Jul 2017 16:44:16
There has been lots of times I've wanted to see him traded, however i'm back and forth on the idea, especially since we got Drouin. i'm really hoping they can be a great combination. a great passer, and a good sniper. hopefully they give them a shot. the risk of trading him is risky, as he still has another gear to his game (I believe) ) . Would have to be something substantial and proven to come back.

4.) 10 Jul 2017 16:49:11
I also believe Drouin and Galchenyuk together can be 70 + point players . Together. if Julien let's them.
