Tippett/Hepo + 2020 1st + Pysyk = Laine
Matheson + 2020 1st + Borgstrom = Laine

I've wrote this before but I don't believe Chevy is thinking about trading Laine at this time.

I agree Islandjet. There is very little chance Chevy is considering trading Laine now.

He has to be exploring all options at this time including a trade route. Any good GMs would have all options brainstorming in these situations. He’s a decent to good GM, so I’m willing to bet they at least have the trade option being talked about. Yes of course he probably doesn’t “want to” but I bet they are at least thinking about and exploring the options. They have to be.

I agree with that yupp. I'm sure they've had inquiries and listened to them, but are probably leaning way more to the sign him side than the trade him side at this point.

Gretzky was traded so means anyone can be traded. Want and need are 2 different things. Or sit him and hope for the best. His asking price has to be too high or I'm guessing he would've been signed long ago.

Oh, I'm wrong, laine is worth 4 1sts. guess chicago got a steal for andrew shaw for a 2nd and 3rd. 47 points in 63 games. Typical the 2 jets guys think he's actually worth 4 1sts or more. Whatever.

Comparing Andrew shaw to Patrick laine? I know Montreal players get considerably better on here after they leave Montreal but come on lol.

Just exaggerating habby, just saying it's insane what jets fans expect for Laine. 4 1sts is not going to happen in any sane world. Just being realistic. Not saying he's not good but 11 million or 4 1sts ain't happening. And 3 less points in nearly 20 games less is just an example. Laine had an off year but 50 points? Think he should get 3 years at like 6.3-8.4 which is equal to 1st, 2nd and 3rd for an offer sheet, not 4 1sts.
