Nice. I was thinking posting something similar.
Was just going to throw out Reinhart and Risto for Liane just to toss different ideas around. Can Buffalo afford say $9/ 10M for Liane tho? With Dahlin coming up and Eichel and Skinner on the books? Think they should just keep Reinhart and try and trade Risto (add a little if they need) for a winger in the $5M range if they can?

One local rumour for teams that call about Laine is that Chevy is asking for a good, young roster player with some term and 2 firsts/ A prospects.   So, it doesn't sound like Laine will be moved unless it is a pretty good return.

The Jets needs are 2C and top 4 RHD.   Wingers, bottom pairing defenseman and goalies have minimal value to the Jets.

I like how you just copy and paste your replies. Here are a 2C and top 4 RHD, both young, which perfectly fits your stated needs and you act like it’s not close. The young roster player they’d be getting with 2 firsts/ good prospects won’t be as good as Reinhardt or Risto, like them or not.

Cause you asked for a 2C and a top4 RHD, which Sam Reinhart and Rasmus Ristolainen are. The 1st would be added on if one of Reinhart/ Ristolainen wasn't as experienced as they are, but they are already NHL caliber players. This is fair value, not saying it'll happen, but this fits the requested needs.

Yet, 100% the response will be 'You all are very biased against Winnipeg. '

Yeah, that’s a pretty good offer considering the year Laine just had. If he does get moved (which I doubt he will) it will be another Trouba situation where the value coming back is laughable.

I personally haven’t heard anything credible in regards to what the Jets “supposedly” want in return for Laine, but if Chevy gets an offer like this I’d jump on it.

Laine has scored 110 goals before he was 21 without a center he has chemistry with. Last year he had 30 goals and everyone says he had a horrible season. I can't see Chevy trading him as he is just too good to trade at this time.

How is this not good enough? This is more than a fair offer. Reinhart and Ristolainen are both near elite for their positions. They are literally a top 50 defenseman and a top 50 forward. Laine had a whopping 50 points last year. Give it a rest. I don’t know what article you cut and pasted that crap from, but it’s obviously a Winnipeg news source. Local rumours my butt. Some dink with a smartphone and Facebook account with a few followers posts something like that and boom, it’s a local rumour.
