Lol. Not even in a Kings fan's wildest dreams. Doughty is great and all, but he's 29 and is being paid $11 million/ season until he is 36. Plus the Jets just extended Laine, they won't trade him in a knee jerk, panic trade as you are proposing.

As much as I like Doughty, he will be long retired, over the hill, while Laine will be scoring 50, flirting with 60 for years to come.

Laine had a rough 2nd half last year, so many are questioning him.
I will guarantee he will score the most Goals of anyone on his draft class. I'm not saying points, or that he will be the best player, but as a goal scorer, he will be # 1.

Agree with jbs, sosa. In most draft classes laine could run away with it, but him and matthews will probably always be close.
