Carolina or any team wouldn’t have just taken Marleau and his contract for future considerations tho. The 1st had to be included. Nice try tho. Marner was never taking 8-9 either. Lol.

The reason they paid a 1st to trade Marleau was cause no team would take the contract otherwise.
