LA: Kovalchuk

What do you think?

Eriksson has slowed down, has no offensive ability left but is still solid defensively which LA could use.

Kovalchuk has slowed down, is a liability on defense but can still put up some points which Vancouver could use.

Eriksson has one extra year on his deal but Kovalchuk makes a little more money per year and at least Eriksson would play on LA unlike Kovalchuk who they’ve benched.

Maybe Van could add a 4th or something?

Is there such a thing as a trade where both teams lose?
If there isn't this is about as close as it will come.

Rather they look at Montreal and go something like Erickson and Goldobin for Alzner, Weise and a 3rd.

Montreal could use a couple forwards, as Drouin and Byron are out for awhile.
Basically some cap dumps for an asset each.

Dont think the young stars on Nucks need any influence from Kovalchuck.
Hes not a good Pro. he has more talent in his pinky than most players ever get. yet, he jus doesn't apply it.
His day as a Pro should be done.

Renidrag, actually made an offer I would entertain as a Montreal fan. Goldobin could be like another Lehkonen type player that could maybe replace Byron permanently. Byron best days are over I think.

This isn’t like the Neal for Lucic trade where everyone knew Neal was going to bounce back while Lucic was still going to suck the bag. Both these guys career is over. I don’t see any point in trading them for each other. I.
