Sorokin stays in Russia for 3 years and then becomes UFA, why would the leafs roll the dice like that?

So instead of Sorokin then Facelift, why not Soderstrom? Though I doubt Leafs trade a good roster player like Kapanen for a echl/ ahl goalie and a third pairing defenseman.

I agree hockeyfan, would sorokin or soderstrom solve the leafs backup goalie issue? They could just call up Joseph woll if they need a goalie that isn't NHL ready.
