I can see Bergevin mortgaging the future if this was a true cup contender, however, they aren't even a playoff team atm. They will have to won at an 80% pace to get in. can't see it happening. and once Drouin, Gallagher and Byron come back, there is going to be to many forwards as it is.

Caulfield is going to be a star. He is the right age bracket to be peaking in his prime when Montreal’s new core is ready to compete. Wicked fight by KK the other night. I didn’t know he had it in him. I just wish Mo freak would use him better. Seems like a waste on third line.

I see a lot of people on this site saying Habs are miss using KK and I would like to know what they would do differently? He’s not better than the 2 centres in front of him so 3rd line seems right is it not? He’s 19 and I for one think a player needs to earn more minutes instead of be entitled to it. A lot of Habs wingers are injured so yes he’s been playing with lesser players but at the beginning he was playing with Drouin and Armia.

I think KK is in the right spot.
At times , I also think some AHL time woulda done him good. He shows some signs of potential stardom, then looks a little lost. Not to sure what the proper thing to do for Kk is.

I think he should have started in in the AHL and got more game time. Would have helped for development even though he was playing in an adult league prior to the draft.

Should have been in the AHL learning to score and playing big minutes as a big fish in big games. Instead he’s getting sheltered minutes, reduced to a defensive role he isn’t exactly suited for, and is being passed in the depth chart by Suzuki. They should move him to wing to get the special teams and extra scoring opportunities. More o-zone starts as well.
