Mtl will be buyers at the deadline. Mtl is in a good position to aspire to make the playoffs even while have 16 games loss in two bad sequences. Mtl is hot right now and needs to add another goal scorer maybe a Palmieri type player.

Scandella, Thompson, Weiss, Kovalchuck and maybe Kulak could be players on the move. no one will command big returns, maybe Kovalchuck gets a 2nd.
Why Marc would this team part with assets to be buyers? They are not contenders.

Sosa, if your not going to believe in this team then go cheer for the Bruins or the Leafs. This team wants to make the playoffs, when you want sometime, your willing to work hard, give it all you’ve got like these guys have been doing, good things will happen. As long as Kovi is giving it all he stays in mtl and help this team not only make the playoffs but possibly win the cup like the St Louis Blues.

Did you not see the last 2 games? Habs needed extra time to beat lowly Jersey and Anaheim. So, if you want to cheer for a playoff team . YOU go cheer for Boston., or Florida, or Washington. I don't give an eff who it is., but it won't be Habs this year. I'll continue to cheer and support the Habs, like I have been doing some 1979.

If Price goes down with a serious injury at any pt., Habs season is OVER. They currently have no reliable backup goalie to count on. Hence, HAAAAAALAK enters the picture. Bring him back. He is still solid and extremely reliable. He would challenge Price which is exactly what Price needs to stay motivated to be at his best in every game. Habs are now within playoff reach with plenty of hockey left-25 games. If Habs GM adds Halak, Martinez or Leddy on defense, and maybe Palmeiri for final 20-25 games, we've got a playoff team here.
