If Byram was a RD it would at least be a place to start for Connor. As it would be a young high upside player in a position of need for a young, established scoring winger on a great contract.

It would all depend likely on what established young player and picks Colorado added.

I read that rumor also over the weekend. There was some adds from Col. but I don't think it was as high as a 1RP. I think there was another prospect and maybe a 2RP.

Not sure any $7.15M ppg player is “great”. I’d consider it good to perfectly fair. If that’s a great contract then Marner and Matthews are god aweful and a draisaitl is the best contract in the league easily.
I’d love Holland to try and get Connor for Mcdavid and Kassian. Leaving Nuge-Drai-Moto together. Not sure what the deal would be tho. Bouchard or Broberg + other stuff. And Neal or Gaganer and manning would have to be included for money reasons. Would be a lot going on and probably not realistic.

But Jets are right there battling. If they miss the playoffs maybe this is an off season trade to look more into when it’s easier to make hockey deals. I hope they get in and Flames miss. Lol.

I hit disagree with yupp, but not for any rational reason. Hoping flames make playoffs over Oilers. Or better yet, they both make it.
