Larsson is a far better player than Niku. Nike barely contributes. 23 years old he is a tweener.
Edmonton laughs at this offer. Both teams want to compete now and want the best team they can ice now. Turning down Larsson for Niku is just silly.

Larsson isn't bad Ebs, he's just not needed. Larsson would be 3RHD for the Jets right now, would only be here a year and is paid too much for a bottom pairing role. It's pointless to waste assets on him for a season, unless of course he came really cheap. I'd rather just keep the guy on the cheap contract.

3rd RHD? Poink had a good season that came out of nowhere sure right now yeah he’s better. I’m not sure if he’ll repeat but we'll see. He’d be the 2nd on the right side.

What do you mean not at that price? What has Niku done that suggest he is worth more then a proven top 4 defensive RHD. Sami Niku hasn’t proven he can play 82 games as a top 4 D in the nhl and he’s worth maybe a 3 rd pick at best.

He's not needed. He's paid too much to play 3RHD behind Pionk and Demelo. If the Oilers can get more elsewhere they're better off trading to a team that needs him.

Larsson is better then Demelo for sure. Also Demelo is a UFA.
