WPG
Laine
Heinola ( looking at his stats- not a lot of games played period).
Appleton ( maybe he fits TB style better)

TB
Cirelli
Sergachev
Killorn or Johnson as a salary piece

Preferably Killorn over Johnson.

The Jets will not throw in Heinola as he had 5 points in 8 games he played with the Jets before they wisely sent him back to Finland. He's going to b a good one. TB has to dump contracts so Cirelli will be traded for a lot less then he's worth. Sergachev has the potential to be very good but now he is not worth Laine who has never asked to be traded. So this trade is a no go for the Jets.

This one is an extreme overpay by Winnipeg. I like Cirelli and would love to have him, but he isn't good enough to start a conversation for Laine.

While Sergachev would be nice too, he's a LD just like Heinola, so there is no reason for the Jets to do that.

Plus, you want the Jets to take a cap dump without receiving any compensation for doing so, making that an even easier no.

Cirelli would be good, but only in exchange for a player of his level not for a huge overpay.

I know this wasn’t a good trade.
I see Laine as asking for a huge contract like Ovie where leaving Jets capped out with out real pieces to win.
If they could trade him that would balance the team better, which balanced teams win championships,
That’s why I use him in trade proposals.
Heinola has great first 8 games but don’t really know good he really is or not is.
Sorry but I like making trades because I enjoy reading your guys comments. Especially memarcusjoe and Islandjet.
I value your opinion and I agree with a lot of what you say.

Yeah Killorn is a fairly big contract but he just had a 26 goal season. On pace for over 30 goals and 60 points for under 4.5M. This trade would probably make the Jets a better team but I also wouldn’t take the risk and trade Laine this early. He was having a really solid season.

Well muzza, trading a player because you think something "might" happen a year down the road, when there hasn't been any indications it might happen, isn't usually a good idea.

Here we'd be trading Laine at an extremely discounted price for no reason, swapping a younger LD, who so far has looked great for an older LD for no reason. Then giving away Appleton, just to give him away and taking back an older cap dump.

The idea would be to make the team stronger if we were to move Laine. This deal doesn't make us better, just older and more expensive.

Thanks Muzza 01. Its nice to have sensible conversations about trade posts and not just flip insults.

Memarcus you wouldn’t trade Heinola for Sergachev?

Says the guy that specializes in flipping insults and degrading other teams players.

Call me biased, I don't care and I'm not saying WPG should be all over this (they should be, tbh), but I would not do that as TB, no way.
Young top 6 C who's already a Selke candidate at age 22 and a 21yo soon to be top pairing two-way defenseman plus what's decent value in Killorn or okay value in Johnson for Laine, who's argubaly a great goal scorer but doesn't seem to be putting it all together yet?

Nah, I think TB's good on this one. I can totally hear how WPG wouldn't do it as well (although I think they should, as I said), but it's not like TB should be all over this.

Sure Ebs, I would trade Heinola for Sergachev, but Tampa wouldn't (cap considerations not withstanding), however it wasn't a one for one deal that was proposed.

However, if it was a reasonable cost then sure Serg would be a great piece to add.
