Larsson has dropped of since his youth years, both offensively and defensively. I don’t think I would trade Kapanen for him. I would however trade Kapanen for Bear but I don’t think the Oilers would take that.

I don't think the Oilers would want to trade a d-man even though they could use Kapanen. The Oilers D is weak and not very deep but they may be willing to trade a 2nd or a minor league player.

Coming from a leafs fan, I would never trade Kapanen for Larsson, and I don’t think Dubas would either. I remember the leafs were trying to make a big move with Edmonton during the 2018 trade deadline and it all fell apart. I think this was because Edmonton asked for Kapanen to get Larsson and Dubas said no.

Of course you think that leafs33. But I don’t think that Oilers could afford to lose Larsson a couple years ago so I doubt he was involved. I remember rumours with Benning and Brown, maybe that’s what your thinking about.

It's a good trade that has been proposed before. Helps both teams immediately with a need. Oilers get faster and deeper up front and leafs get more stable in back end .

I remember Khaira plus Benning for Brown. Dubas turned that down. I don't remember any Kapanen for Larsson rumors. There was whispers of a Kapanen for Ekblad deal. And roars about Kapanen for Pesce.

Larssons play has improved since going to Edmonton. He is better now than when he was traded for Hall. But he is also a free agent, and even the best free agents don't bring a roster player as good as Kapanen.
