3 way trades rarely work but in this instance I could see it working.

Winnipeg- Dylan Strome

Pittsburgh- Andrew Copp

Chicago- Matt Murray, Kristian Vesalianen/Logan Stanley and Winnipeg's 2nd 2020

Winnipeg- Gets a big playmaking 2c in which they desperately need while only swapping out a 3c, Lottery ticket prospect and 2nd round pick. 2c is obviously a much harder roll to fill then 3C.

Pittsburgh- needs a 3C which is probably their biggest current hole. Strome is more suited for offensive zone starts hence not swapping Murray+ for Strome. Copp fills that role perfectly and more importantly cheaply.

Chicago- so apparently there is mutual interest for a deal here with involving Murray. It's currently circleing Twitter. They get a high risk/high reward reclamation project, a decent prospect and pick.

Too much from Winnipeg for Strome. Drop the second or Copp and it's closer.

Even with Murray being a chance, he's worth more than copp i think.

Wpg should wait and see if someone gets bought out and might be a good free agent signing. I don't think they're giving up more value than strome is worth, but it's a few pieces they might like to hang onto. Or use to upgrade D.

I think the Jets give up too much to make this trade work. They need to trade for a skilled, physical, play making #2 center. Strome is a pending RFA who will expect a $6 mil plus contract. He isn't worth Copp, Ves, Stanley and a 2nd. Copp isn't worth Murray. The only winner is Chicago. A lot of posts here are meant to hurt the Jets not make them better.

Why do you jets fans always think these players are going to get significant raises? Strome won’t be getting over 6M, especially now. I think if Chicago sends like a 3rd or 4th to Pittsburgh it makes the value a little closer.

Copp is the weakest link in this trade. pittsburgh would just skip over winnipeg and deal murray for strome. gee how that makes sense for both clubs

Why would either team include winnipeg?
