Why would a rebuilding devils have any interest swapping a top 10 pick for a UFA in 2 years. You’re either extremely bias as a flames fan or extremely ignorant. Devils could sign Guadreau in 2 year tho.

Guadreau is a UFA in 2 years and coming off a sad season. Monahan is what he is and Rienhart is younger with more potential/ term control. Guadreau is worth something similar to what Max Pacciereti brought back and Monahan is worth more then Guadreau but is also coming off of a weak season.

I think with monahan and reinhart, they're 25,24 respectively. They haven't got a ton of untapped potential hiding there. Monahan is a#1 centre, Reinhart could be a #2 centre. Maybe getting out of Buffalo would help his career, but he's not worth a better player who gets more points and better defensively, just because he's a year younger.

Monahan is a low end number 1 or a high end number 2 center. Reinhart is *maybe a low end number 2.
